Friendly staff. Brilliant location for the old town. Bus stop for Victoria Beach and train station only a few mins walk away. Request for exterior twin-bedded room on upper floor was met (Room 201) - was able to sit on balcony with a beer. Comfortable beds. Friendly bar/cafe next door serves a basic buffet breakfast for 3 euros. The location was good - close to the railway station and in the citycentre. The staff was speaking english. The room had a small bath and a safe. Wi-fi worked well. there were coffee and softdrinks machines in the lobby.
all reviews » Excellent location for exploring old Cadiz. Clean room with all reasonable facilities and at a good price. Breakfasts available nearby at a choice of cafes, so no problem. Great location, convenient to everything in the old town and the train station. Had a lift! Staff were friendly. Cafe next door had a (limited) buffet breakfast for €3. The room was a bit too small, hard to move around there with the bed in the centre. A bit too far from the beach. The really helpful girl at reception was over- worked - she rarely seemed to have break!. Room was quite dark and stuffy because it only had a window to the interior courtyard. Beds were extremely firm and pillows a bit uncomfortable. Would have preferred to have a key for the front door rather than having to be buzzed in and out by staff. No criticisms. Bathroom is very tiny. Compared to what we paid in the rest of our trip was a little bit overpriced. The room smelled a little musty when turned on the air conditioner. Room was very small with no external window (only internal patio). But that was known in advance, so no surprise ;). Cell like room. Air conditioning needs to be revised. The two options are: 1. glacial jet; 2. off. Staff were not very friendly. "Free wifi in every room" only worked in the lobby, not in the room. Asked for one double bed and got two singles. Staff speak no english at all, even a friend who lives in city and is fluent in spanish left message to meet and when asked for messages was told there were none.As result never met up.Room very small, could literally do everything except use bathroom without getting off bed. Would suggest anyone booking takes an upper floor. Ground floor room was dank. Computer in lobby area with no function on it. Will in my view never fuction. The space could be better used for some comfortable seating.
