The staff are superb any time of day or night! The sense of peace you get throughout the hotel. The facilities are excellent. I've seen bad comments about the breakfast and evening food in the restaurant. I don't agree with the breakfast comments - the 2 times we've been there we've had a variety of freshly prepared food, I've stayed in similar hotels in the area and had very much worse!!.
all reviews » To start, my girlfriend and I are a young couple in our mid 20's. All in all we had a fantastic time at this hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone who is travelling to Tenerife. There seems to be a debate about the rating of the hotel on this site (4* or 5*). All in all the hotel is beautiful and providing your are not a complete fusspot you'd find it hard to fault it.This is an excellent hotel with top quality food and variety, the staff were extremely effecient and helpful. We went for a relaxing week and that was what we got, I have no doubt we will use both your facality and this hotel again. The quality of the hotel and the ease of finding everything that I required for the time I spent there.Very comfortable hotel, great value, location. Great hotel service and facilities. very spacious. lovely hotel, great area, great pool , lovely lobby , great cleaners,one of the cleanest hotels i have ever been in, lots of facilities- tennis pool squash mini golf e.t.c. Perfect but for the food!!!. * the pools, especially the one on the roof, which has a really nice view over the ocean and over the mountains; the location was great, staff was great, everything was great :). The 3 pools on terrace level are excellent for a family area and most people who wanted peace and quiet gravitated to the rooftop. On occasion the peace in this relatively small area was shattered by screaming kids... not a very peaceful experience!!!. It was a little bit out of the hub of activity but having said we got a bit of exercise out of it.for a 5 star hotel i expected the temperature of water in the shower to be constant. We were asked to pay in full as soon as we arrived in the door of the hotel.unusual and degrading. Also The food in the restaurant is deplorable .Only went to the a la carte restaurant la Raja once and i can honestly say it was worse meal i ever tasted. please take full board of your deals on website it will stop negative comments about this hotel.was unedible and i aint fussy. There aren't many bad things about it ... maybe the variety of the breakfast (especially if you stay longer than a couple of days) and the fact that the bathroom has no ventilation. The only draw back is that the pool area was always crowded and you had to be out there early if you wanted to sit by the pools. Also it would have been nice to have some form of list in the hotel room of all the facilities that where available with costings etc. It was only on the last couple of days we found they had a pool on the roof with a sun terrace.too big and could not get a meal after 10pm. The added charge for using the safe in the room.The half board, price quoted did not include hidden service charges for using different breakfast or dinner dinning rooms, with 6 and 12 Euro per person per day. Secondly, the roof pool snack bar, was never open so any drinks or food required during the day one would have to take lift 6 floors, to find a bar open. At breakfast there was no self-service for coffee or hot water, you always had to wait several minutes until some waiter served you.Restaurant staff were unhelpful. too impersonal. the description about wifi in rooms. i needed internet during the stay and had to bring my laptop down to the lobby. If you get 2 minutes hot water in the shower you are luck!! Breakfast isgenuinely terrible!! Not 5 stars no way!! But...best of a bad lot.Main restaurant was too big and busy and like a zoo. La Laja was good although had to pay a supplement.
