The fabulous personal attention to detail, the heated bathroom floors and towel rails on a really chilly day. Bruce left a pullover on his bed and John took the trouble to meet us at the airport to return it. Talk about going the extra mile. The views are magnificent and all in all it was just a great experience. Would definitely visit again if in the area and would love to recommend it as it will exceed expectations.

Waking up to a view as spectacular as this venue has to offer is an experience not to be missed. In addition to the view, the place is beautifully furnished with all of the luxuries of home you could possibly need during your stay. I can’t wait to come back here. So glad I found it!. Penguinden was absolutely great, the owners were the most helpful, accommodating and friendly people I have ever met. The room was so spacious and the views spectacular. The location was perfect, very close to all the shops in Simon's Town and also close to other attractions such as the penguin viewing at Boulders. All in all the perfect place to stay if you visit Simon's Town. Very well located, stunning view. Appartments are spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the terasse has a wonderfull view over the ocean.Very nice owners. We booked 2 appartements and they were so spacious that one flat was fully sufficient. The owner proposed us to use only one flat and reimbursed the second one. I highly recommend. I really loved the location- the views are really special. The place was very clean and everything you could possibly need was there. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all I would definitely recommend going to Penguinden. Incredible facilities. It was not clear in advert that the family room is actually as named and really only suitable for two adults and two children, We were in a group of two couples and found that there was no wardrobes in one bedroom. There was nothing that I didn't like. hardly none, perhaps parking, but we parked in front so no problem for us. no breakfast, just an accommodation. Decoration a little dated. Not a guesthouse but self catering. Noise at night when lots of Wind. (fence???).
