  the restaurant was fantastic and the rooms/grounds of the hotel were gorgeous. We were a little worried because we were in the smallest room in the place but it was a lovely room, so no complaints there - The quality of service and efficiency of all teh saftt, very impressive indeed !!!!

  After a day on the road coming to the "Vineyard" is like paradise. We were upgraded to the garden suite at no further cost and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Literally 10 minute drive from Stellenbosch and 3 minutes away from Somerset West this is a good location for outings - or just to relax in the lovely garden and on the spacious pool. Theresa and Coete are utterly charming hosts: they gave me medicine and helped nurse me when I had sunstroke, gave my wife a blanket to keep her warm at the rugby and lent us their gps to get there. Beautiful accommodation, really comfy bed and option to dine on site. More like staying with friends than a B&B.

  We arrived late (7:00pm) and the place was locked up and we were not expected. The host eventually answered his phone and said that he was not expecting anybody as nobody had advised him of the booking. He gave us the honeymoon suite to make up for the misunderstanding and we were thoroughly impressed with the hotel and everything worked out perfe... what people say » ctly and exceeded our best imaginations. - Great location close to the beach and restaurants. Wonderful view of the sea from the open deck. Very amiable hosts. Good braai facilities including wood, charcoal and firelighters. Vouchers for breakfast at the restaurant next door; 60 rands in value PP which is enough for a full english, an extra round of toast, coffee and enough left over for a tip for the friendly waiter.
