Everything about the place is lovely. I would definitely like to stay for a weekend away from Johannesburg just to relax there and read a book and perhaps visit some of Pretoria that we have not already seen.

The owners of the Melvin Houser are fantastic... we arrived late at night, 2 days ahead of our reservation, due to travel changes, and not only did they allow us to change our reservation right then, but they were lovely about it and so warm and helpful, even letting us hop on their personal computer to cancel our Joburg hotel that night.Breakfast

I would recommend Melvin Residence to anyone on business or taking kids to University in Pretoria. The welcome is always warm and friendly, the situation is convenient, quiet and peaceful despite being in the city. Piet is always helpful and efficient with any queries.

the personnel was so helpful especially the trainee and the receptionist, we had a problem with the signal of dstv and the guy that was on duty came straight away. the garden was pretty our car couldn't be seen from the road and made us relax. For the price we paid it was really great. We enjoyed a glass of wine at the swimming pool area. We felt welcome.
