Adequately kitted out for self-catering, although the personal
recommendations for restaurants would have enticed me to go out for
meals if I had stayed longer. -

The owners and staff of this Guest House made us very welcome. The room was furnished to a high standard and all the facilities were immaculately maintained. four years we have stayed at several B&Bs, Hotels/Guest Houses
in South Africa and the De Hoek rates as one of our best and most
enjoyable places. The room was clean and comfortable, well furnished and

The personal touches were very nice (e.g., turn-down service that included port). Check-in was incredibly efficient -- we were in our room within about 45 seconds. The location in downtown Stellenbosch is fantastic -- across the street from a beautiful church and just one block from dozens of cafes and restaurants. And, of course, it's convenient to tons of wineries. Breakfast was served promptly, was delicious, and included everything one could want. This is a great guest house.

comfortable room, lovely courtyard for breakfasts, drinks or just to sit
