The hotel is set in lovely tropical gardens with two delightful pools. The suite we booked was spacious with large well furnished bedroom and sitting area. It also had the benefit of a huge private sun terrace overlooking the sabie road hills. The hotel is ideally situated 5km from Hazyview - with its large selection of restaurants - and only 15km from the Phabeni gate entry to the Kruger Park. A tip. all reviews » It is such a lovely, peaceful, restful place. The surroundings and the garden hotel itself is so beautiful. We really enjoyed the friendly staff, the smiles and the excellent enthusiastic service. The hotel has a lovely Tuscan feel but each room has an African flavor and is very modern. The hotel and gardens are beautiful! The staff is friendly and helpful, they even washed our car before departure! The food and service by our waiters were good. The gauze for the mosquitos and also the can of insect spray in the room were good ideas. Casa do Sol was a fabulous place to stay and relax. It was great value for the suites which were huge and beautifully decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We went on a game drive recommended and booked by the hotel and it was amazing!!. Staff are extremely friendly and would like to especially name Nomsa at the Bar and the gentleman at the main gate. Rooms are fantastic and have all one needs to relax. Peaceful environment and beautiful garden like surrounds that appeals to those seeking natural environments away from the stress and rat race of city life. And we been told by some of the colleagues they had reported the matter and no action has been taken to fix/resolve matter we are not the only couple lodge complain. The weather was bit cold for us to bath with cold water is lyk been in your own house not having electricity no option but to take a bath on cold water. We were dissapointed. Faulty electronic door lock, when I reported this, the individual at reception was not to clued up and did not respond to my request for a new card, eventually calling a colleague who did help me but it took some time. This incident prevents me from giving a higher rating in regards to staff, it's a pity as most of the other staff members were extremely pleasant. Driveway leading to Casa to be better maintained, more lighting in the area. Horrendous driveway - should have been warned that a rugged vehicle was needed. too dark at night. By Car from Johannesburg: - Take the N4 to Nelspruit. - From Nelspruit take the R40 through White River. - Watch for the R40 sign to Hazyview and turn left. - Keep on this road straight through to Hazyview, where you will reach a T-junction. - Turn left into Hazyview. - After 2 traffic lights and a stop street, you will see the Sabie turn-off (R536). - Turn left and continue for approximately 5 kilometres on the Sabie Road. - Casa do Sol is on your left. By Car From Hazyview: - From Perry's Bridge in Hazyview town, travel 5 km on the Sabie R536 road towards Sabie town. - Look for the Casa Do Sol entrance on the left hand side. - Turn left into this entrance and travel straight along the gravel road(+/- 800m). - Follow the signboards to the end of gravel road. - Turn left into the Casa Do Sol gates on the left hand side.
