Location is more than perfect, right in the heart of the city. Super clean, spacious room. Staff is extremely polite and helpful, but this is no surprise-this is Serbia and people are friendly and willing to help! Breakfast choice is fine. Also there are smoking and non smoking rooms but even the smoking one which we asked for didn't smell like cigarettes. We had a deal from Booking com, so price was well worth what we got. Definitely wood recommend and would stay again.
all reviews » The hotel is located right in the center of Novi Sad, we did not have much time to explore the city, but we recommend seeing the fortress above the Danube and the small old quarter below. We stayed there on the way from Greece, its a great location as it is near the highway. The room was very large, the bed was huge and comfortable, the spacious bathroom had a bathtub. And the breakfast buffet was very rich and delicious!. The hotel is in excellent location, my room (No.312) was big, clean and bright with separate toilet and bathroom. Mini bar was inexpensive (and I was compelled to use it). Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold dishes. Connection to wi-fi was easy. Sound proofing was good despite being on a very busy street. I got much more than I have expected. My double room was big and very comfortable. It has view to Theatre and Square - in the rainy night it was real, real nice. Fortunatelly, they have had a place in garage for my car. If it is full, You can be in trouble searching for parking place around on the streets. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is exellent, just at the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Breakfast is also very good. You can enjoy your stay in hotel eighter you are there with a family, friends or alone. Our room was at the end of the corridor towards an intersection and although the room was quite soundproof we could hear little noise from the street (especially night diesel buses). The parking lot under the hotel is safe but quite small and you go there by a narrow car lift. The only really negative point is centrally operated air-conditioning. You can not turn it off, you can not turn it on nor you can set the desired temperature. I would like to be able to regulate temperature in my room. This was not the case, I was cold and that spoiled an otherwise pleasant experience. The Centar is a Garni hotel so there are no communal facilities (except for a small, rarely used bar) and an extra person on Reception at busy times would have helped to speed arrival and departure formalities. But these are minor quibbles in an otherwise excellent hotel. Elevator- makes loud noise on the 5th floor when starts or stops, which does not allow peacefull night. This needs to be fixed. The stuff wasn't friendly and helpful like they normally in Serbia but I didn't mind because I just sleep one night there... nothing. No water in the morning but that was not the hotels issue, the whole of Novi Sad was impacted. - Everything was great. No restaurant in the hotel No fitness center. Couldn't fault it for what we went for. Perfect for a city break close to bars and restaurants. The only slight thing would be breakfast that could be a bit better, but considering the price of accommodation, it is quite good!. Can't fault anything. A table lamp was the only missing thing. Although the room was amazing, its such a shame that it was not kept well, buttons missing on bed, and the mini fridge was warm, plus not all the beverages were there. Another minus is the breakfast, looks great on pictures, and maybe it is in high season, but in Feb it was a disaster, most things came prefabricated, like i was in an airplane. very bad for a 4 star hotel. Small and not very convenient garage (drive-in / -out). However there is one and is included in price. Nothing special. The weather! (It was March). Nothing. Nothing!. missing reading light in the bed limited comfort in hotel caffee-bar. Nothing. Loved it. Bar and room service stops too early. Although smoking is not allowed in rooms, the reception area does allow for smoking. I found that the smoke came into my room while people were smoking downstairs. The extractor fans is thus not efficient enough. The breakfast its poor, the parking haze only 11 places and its very tight, the toilet service its poor. Nothing. No Dinersclub card facility.. The standart noise of the air conditioning, and you can not close it , it was automatic. An extra smile on front desk office wouldn`t do any damage, you know. But far from unkind. Staff could give advice on how to enter and (especially) leave the garage. For a larger car leaving te garage I advice to enter the elevator backwards. Otherwise you will hit the wall like all the others. Sometimes the Lift is noisy during night time... the bed was not confortable.
