The apartment really is on the nicest street in Gdansk as its description suggests. The owner has an amber shop downstairs and he was extremely welcoming and kind. We were able to leave our luggage in the shop. The apartment was clean and well furnished and was very quiet apart from some brief morning noise as other residents of the block began to go about their daily business. Gdansk was great-we especially recommend the Solidarity museum. There are lots of excellent bars and cafes near the ap.
all reviews » The Location is excellent in the middle of old town and fantastic Amber market in Mariacka ul. (Street). There were no staff, we met only the owner which was nice, didn't ask for advance money and gave us enough time to exchange money and pay in local currency (better), the apartment is small for 4 people but tidy and equipped with all convenient tools, owner was nice to give small gift on leave. We stayed 3 nights in comfort apartment for three persons, situated in Tandeta street. The apartment was almost brand new, very clean and nice, with a balcony towards the patio. The owner was very friendly, arrived quick to the apartment and also ordered us a taxi to the morning when we were leaving. Nothing bad to say, would definitely stay again. Very good location in the heart of old town. Excellent appartment good value for money. Everything located in walking distance. Key holder very friendly and precise. Helped also getting taxi when leaving to airport. Better place to stay than any hotel. Lot of restaurants in 5 min walking distance. Highly recommend!. The apartment was beautiful and clean. The main bedroom has a table and chairs and there was also a table in the kitchen. There could be some armchairs in the bedroom but that should in no way detract from what is a really nice apartment in a great location. Confusing location on reaching in old smelly building, no reception and no signage to show the apartment, luckily found owner own the shop underneath the apartment, No curtains in bath tub with single bathroom for 4 people, water splash, no proper water drain, used towels to dry the wet floor which becomes very dirty after bath.. The water heater system and shower is very bad and hot water can be controlled with great difficulty, you might get burn or frozen. Apartment was so new that other apartments were still on decoration, about 7 o'clock in the morning they start to drill the wall. But it wasn't a problem, and everything else was perfect !. The taxi from the appts to the airport was 93 zloty...so be careful, i only had 80, but he just took it anyway. No shower curtain and hand held shower head. Bathroom very clean but a little "old Europe"- bathtub w/ handheld shower. Slight drain odor, especially when using tub. The shower (hand-held, no shower curtain or screen). Lack of a tea pot. It would be nice to have a shower curtain in the bathroom, but we managed without one. In fact, there is no terrace, and one of the rooms had no windows. Apartment exhibits basic decoration, although very clean and wee equiped. I would stay again, nevertheless. The only thing missing is a good recliner. The floor of toilet does not drain well. Nothing. Nothing ;-D. To shower was a bit difficult ,you have to stand inn the bath tube and there were none curtens so there were wather all over.terasse that was why we took this apartment, but no chairs no tables.That is what we are disapoment about. We tould that to the ovner. no staff around the apartment, you need to good communication before you check in. noise from barking dogs, and other noise from neighbors. I will not stay here again!!.
