Beautiful views over Taupo from a lovely room. Lots of space for us with good sized dining/kitchen and lounge and seperate bedroom. All modern, clean, comfortable and stylish. Highly recommended. Convenience to town, convenience of bar and restaurant. The staff were fantastic. Availability of internet and accommodating an extra vehicle for us. all reviews » The owners took into consideration the fact that we would be getting in late(11pm) and left a light on and the room unlocked ready for us. We have always stay there, as we find it to be clean, tidy, the people who run it are amazing and so friendly. Just love it!. I liked everything as its close to the water and had great views.the township was down the road and the service was good. Next to a very good English Pub with great atmosphere and excellent meals. Room had views across the lake. Excellent views, very sunny balcony. fairly close to the town. Very spacious apartment, very comfortable. Nice Attitude. Location Awesome. The lights over bed were not working and owner solved the problem with providing a bedside lamp. the fact there was a restaurant right next door, it was also surprisingly nice and quiet which was lovely. The restaurant attached to Twin peaks had exceptionally friendly waitresses. Heater in the room and good lake and ice mountain view in the balcony. Cost of the drinks. The soap dispense in the shower didn't work. The unit smelt damp when we walked in. Nothing. No hob in the kitchen area. Needed redecorating. Shower not particularly good. Decor a little tired. Could do with a few more cooking utensils, difficult to cook some eggs!. A bit dated but clean & tidy. A shame rooms didn't have it's own spa pool bath. Nothing. Nothing. The heater was inefficient. Main heater didn't work, fridge a bit small. We would have liked a sink in the Unit but realise that it was a hotel and a sink is not usually provided in a hotel. Nothing. Lack of Gideon bible. Nothing. A litle bit old, should be renovated to bring it up to date. Just a note to the cleaners, daughter found a tube of ky jelly on floor where the hot points are by bed..... She nearly had a fit. I told her it could have been worse!!! From chrissy and tracey mother and daughter(grown up) stayed sat night. Room decor a little shabby, drapes need replacing. We arrived late afternoon and the room was very cold. It took over 24 hours to warm the room despite double glazing.We had to keep the heating on full the entire duration of stay. Entrance door was badly fitted and allowed cold air to enter. it wasnt worth $300 for 2 nights, there was no were to sit outside, had to ask for chairs, paint work inside was pretty shabby in places and the shower very nearly blew my face off, loads of pressure but you cant turn the rose on the shower to move it so it just hits you fair in the face. The shower over the bath and the dated decor. waitress ate some of ice cream and yougurt we left in the room. We found this when we went back and got them. Room - very tired, in need of redecoration. stayed there a couple of times before -is tired -needs a review of fittings -reception was "tired" -muddled the bookings which were very well documented by Bookings.com unlikely to stay there again. bathroom had no vanity( unit 14), kitchen bench far too small could have utilized area along side block wall, microwave poorly sited as you hit your head on it and wall mounts. Has got a bit run down compared to last time we stayed. Needs alittle TLC. Nothing specific. But was overly expensive for what it was, and compared to other places we've stayed.
