I am a very friendly person, Australian. I found the staff including Martin (?spelling) to be very helpful and concerned that I had an enjoyable time. I am an Andre Rieu fan since the Unsolved murder of my son Ben, aged 22yrs.the hotel is close to the Vrijthof, a good walk in the old city.i love history. The little village nearby adopted me as a (148cm tall koala). Spectacular, beautiful design hotel rooms. Bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully designed and furnished. Room 7/Nana was exceptional, split level and so spacious. Felt more like my own apartment. Beds are HUGE and incredibly comfortable. Service was excellent and the swimming pool, although I was unable to use it, looked beautiful.
all reviews » The room is clean and big; Staff is nice and helpful, since we were travelling on Saturday when the reception desk closes at 3PM, for reminder the hotel staff emailed us and called us twice before our departure. They provide travel guide brochure for free, and it costs 4euro in the shop. The studio was very spacious and had a balcony and 1.5 bathrooms! The studio and hotel were conveniently located by restaurants and cafes as well as the Onze Lieve Vrouweplein, and the swimming pool was a great bonus. The kitchen had dishes, pots and pans, coffee and tea. Very spacious apartment with all facilities in the kitchen area, and very clean and modern walk in shower. Had to hunt for the tv which was in the mirror!! Nice little garden area. All the reception staff were unfailingly helpful and so very pleasent. The room was minimalistic which we liked, also very spacious - as was the bathroom which was amazing. Design of the studio, terrace with the wonderful view, TV , coffee machine. Every piece of the studio was so special. It was a nice experience! I definitely recommend. Apartment was really modern and nicely furnished with good facilities. Really loved Maastricht despite torrential rain. It is a lovely place with lots to see and do. Very nicely designed boutique hotel. The facilities that comes with the stay is for me a reason to come again (swimming pool and group lesson). There is a Nespresso machine and the good thing is that one does not need to worry about the cups/pad as it is supplied (4pc). Excellent location, close to old city which I wanted. Bed was super comfy. I barely spoke to reception so can't comment. They have a swimming pool and it's good , it's only useful for a single night stay without expecting some more from them. I was unable to use the pool as there were classes taking place. The breakfast is a little bit expensive for what you get, but the coffee is at least excellent from a real espresso machine. I would prefer a hair dryer in the room. The swimming pool hours were limited for studio residents, because the reception closes 3 pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday, and because there are classes using the pool at other times. There was no soap or shampoo for the studio, but they probably assume someone staying in a studio will have brought those sorts of things. The stairs!! It said a few steps but there were 45 steps in four lots, and for two 70 year old, one who had had knee replacement it was not easy, and marred the weekend as we were loathe to go out too much cos of going up and down, so it restricted us. Very upset this was not pointed out as SO important. Felt there should be a coffee making facility in the room. This was the only thing that was lacking. Pictures below do not do hotel justice. Bathroom did not appear to have an extractor fan so became very steamy after showering. There was a garden/yard at the back of the apartment. We couldn't use it because of rain, but it could be made nicer. It was untidy with weeds growing and a wire or pipe sticking out. Would have been nicer and more inviting if there were plants/flowers (this was Holland after all). The check in time slot is very limited (12 - 15h). Bath didn't function due to a technical problem that we could solve ourselves after 45 min trying to be a plumber. Person on tel duty didn't have an idea how the bath looked like. Nothing. Old and beautiful buildings give minor problems with modern construction. No bar (filled up). Not a big stairway if you have a large suitcase. No elevator. The SUV was too high for parking garage!. No stairs so if someone has difficulties it woudn't work; however for us was perfect. Breakfast a bit simple but the other aspects compesate but overall a nice place to stay. Nothing. Matress needs to be changed. Nothing. The isolation between the staircase and the different flors could be better.. nothing. Friendly staff but the receptionist could have done better job with the direction to the studio. I end up waking around with luggage and need to pay a 2nd visit for clarification. A map with direction is not a luxury. The studio patio hygiene is a letdown; with pools of water (on the furniture and floor) it is a heaven for mosquito breeding. TV besides small, it is difficult to watch due to the bright reflection of the white wall. Our room was on the top floor, many very narrow stairs to get to the room with your luggage and then even 2 more flights of stairs inside the room to get to bed. Room was minimalist to the point of missing things that are necessary, such as somewhere to hang your towel in the bathroom. Basic stuff that should be fixed. I'm not the first to mention this. They are expensive as compare to others , it's not worth for 118 euro as near the hotel no transport facility is there , and it's useless to stay that not good , it's only for 70 euro worth Especially not useful for business people otherwise they have to pay 23 euro for taxi going and coming back The boss of the hotel is not good and he cheated us There is no lift so u have to go by stair with heavy bag , Don't go to interior of hotel u will be in problem Regards Mahesh.
