We stayed here for 5 nights in November and Riad Lorsya couldn't have suited us more perfectly. It is brilliantly situated just off Marrakech's souks in the centre of the Medina and amazingly peaceful considering its central, bustling location. It is a maze of alleys around the riad, but they are easy and fun to navigate around. There is a pervading feeling of calm in this riad and it was sheer bliss sitting on the top terrace listening to the calls to prayer and the swallows, watching the sun .
all reviews » It was our first night in Marrakech and what a great choice! Riad Lorsya is a hidden gem. We loved everything about it. The room was lovely, with an exotic feel, clean and comfortable. The Riad is very quiet. Breakfast was delicious and big, not mentioning the fact that to my surprise I was provided with a gluten free bread! I'm so greatful for that:) As per our request breakfast was served much earlier than usual. Staff was extremely nice and spoke very good English! There was a very nice, lai. The transfer from and to the airport is perfectly organized, very punctual and not too expensive. We were warmly welcomed, the staff is courteous, nothing is too much for them. The location in the Medina of Marrakech is absolutely awesome. We ate twice in the Riad Lorsya and it was always top class. We will be back, that's a promise. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The Riad is difficult to find but again, the staff provided guidance as well as a little business card with a map so this was not an issue. Considering that the rooms all have windows into the courtyard and the Riad was full, it. We had a short stay in Marrakech - just 3 nights - but so glad we chose Riad Lorsya. Our host, Abdul, could not have been any friendlier or more helpful. We had tagine avec legumes on the first night and the breakfast was fresh, tasty and voluminous! We felt very welcome and would definitely stay again. A real treat in the heart of the souks. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and gave the impression that they really wanted to ensure that we had the best possible stay. Any questions or issues were dealt with immediately and efficiently. The riad is also very well-located, within easy walking distance of the main square, the souks and the palaces. we thought the riad lorsya is a very comfortable riad with exellent facilities the staff made us feel so welcome the roof terrace is great for breakfast the location was perfect for our stay only short walk to jemaa-el-fna square it is well worth trying the food at the riad.w. Riad Lorysa is WONDERFUL! If you are visiting Marrakech stay here. Staff is fantastic (doubtful you will find better). You will feel very welcome and at home. Rooms are beautiful. The Riad was excellent,Facilities were brilliant ,staff v friendly. Everything's great: interior, service, staff, ets. Very helpful staff, wonderful rooms, all good.. Nice room typical Marrakech style. Some pleasing pieces of furniture and overall decorations. Very central and easy to find your way out into the souks. It's not easy to find, but the staff will provide you with a map on the card of the Riad which is very handy. We had to be satisfied, we didn't find something to complain. Since I was traveling with a friend and had asked for (and received) a room with separate beds, we were even more surprised to see that the room did not have a door for the bathroom. It may be typical for a Riad - I am not sure - but it was very awkward for my friend and I!. Hunting around for beer!. The design of the riad makes it quite noisy, with sound travelling between the rooms via a column that runs up from the ground floor to the roof through or next to most of the rooms. This was a particular problem in our suite on the ground floor (the Mamounia suite). the only dislike was the lighting was to dim for reading in the room we stayed in. Nothing. Not a lot, to be honest. The only minor complaint I had was that wifi wasn't available throughout the riad, only in the communal areas (not a big grumble by any means). The organized tour was great, but we would encourage the Rhiad to include all the elements (i.e. guide not only driver) to ensure that tourists do not get ripped off. Clearly they were embarassed about this and were extremely kind to offer us some free wine with our dinner, which was much appreciated. Nothing about the Riad. Marrakech however is an intense and at times unsettling experience! However, if you are prepared, go for it. the beds are a bit hard. Rooms were very dark even with all lights on I had to use my torch app on my phone upstairs to pick out clothes etc. Nothing. Impractical pool - couldn't really be used, dark room. It is very central but easy to get lost due to streets in centre. Difficult to find the place in the narrow corners of medina, but that's the problem of most riads situated in the center. Nothing. The room was dark even with two windows. Breakfast could have been more varied when guests stay for one week. The public rooms in the Riad were very cold, there was no heating - our stay was in February.
