We totally loved the Dar Loula, it was quiet comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady who was there during the day. They even arranged to supply a birthday cake for me as a surprise for my partners 40th! It had a lovely Moroccan feel to the Riad and all the rooms were decorated in a Moroccan style and although basic, they were really comfortable, warm and welcoming rooms. We would definitely stay again.
all reviews » The riad is inside a small alley, not far away from the palace. The room is small but well democrated. Wifi is weak inside the room. But the common area is comfortable. Hassam, great fella, work in the night, good english, helped us to find good places to eat, things to do, and the hotel is a nice riad, Great Location. The location was ideal to walk 10-15 minutes into the djemaa el fna square. Very close to the tinsmith area and Badia palace. The view from the top terrace is great and a perfect place to chill out and enjoy the sunsets. clean room AC worked shower hot staff helpful. location. Riad Dar Loula is nice and 20 min to the center. The breakfast was nice, very basic, but maybe a variety would be a bit better. There was a damp element to the room but we went in March and the roof was all enclosed so there wasn't a lot of air circulating. It wan'ts bad but clothes did feel a tad damp at times. Not a lot of storage space ie shelves and drawers, especially if you were staying for a week or two and no hangers! But to be honest these are all minor things to us. Breakfast, bit poor. Staff did not seem overly friendly. They insisted that the payment be made in cash not by credit card as advertised. We stayed for a week and the hot tub was never used and we were not offered a "free hot tub". This was an advertised perk for guests staying more than 4 days. Room at the front has considerable road noise even with the shutters closed. It was evident during our stay that the riad is for sale with an estate agency showing perspective clients round the riad. no hot tub, generally a little tired. we were not picked up at the aerport as requested. too much nose all the night couldn't sleep it's like a small home. I booked the rjad one month before, when I got there I've soon understood that the rjad was not like that one that I thought booked. The smell in my room was unbearable, worst than a pubblic toilette. The staff terrible and quite dishonest. That Rjad wasted my firs three days in Marocco fortunatly I descover than that is just an exeption.
