The Riad was a wonderful haven from the frenetic alleys of the Marrakech medina. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the main Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Upon our arrival, we were offered mint tea and Moroccan sweets. The rooms are simple, clean, and quiet. The courtyard, where breakfast was served each morning, was beautifully designed with authentic Moroccan motifs. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. all reviews » Good location, close to the centre and quiet. Chantal who owns this place is very nice and gives good advice for the area. (In total we stayed 3 days in Marrakech). Chantal works together with a Gide, Ahsin. We’ve made a jeep tour of 4 days with him what gave us a good impression of Morocco. Ahsin did not plan commercial stops in his tour, that was very good. The price setting of the tour was correct and Ahsin is a man with the hart on the right place. We can absolutely recommend the riad and a. This riad is very well situated in the medina, and was a perfect place to explore Marrakech for the first time. The owner is absolutely fantastic, and went out of her way again and again to help us. She doesn't speak any English, but is patient and eager to communicate, and her staff are fluent in English. We can't say enough about how kind and generous she was, and how welcome she made us feel. Don't forget to arrange an airport pickup, as finding the place could be complicated on the first vi. Our host Chantal was wonderful. She is very people friendly, and very helpful. As recommended by others, ask the Riad to provide transportation from the airport (approximately 10 Euros). This is worth the money, as the Riad is very difficult to find in the maze of the old Medina. Around the corner to the left from the Riad; the alley way was public use to dump donkey doodoo which was very smelly and disgusting, and in a place we had to walk to get to the main walkway. The location and good, but hard to find, to arrange the transfer with them is a good thing, and ... was cheaper than the other options we researched. -. Hard to find... but you can ask the Riad to collect you anywhere. It's quite difficult to find if you don't know the area. A piece of advice: take their offer to come pick you up in the aeroport, otherwise you'll end up paying more money and having a hard time asking a lot of people and bargaining with taxi drivers.
