This nice little hotel had a great Moroccan feel to it. It was simple but nicely decorated, with pretty decent wi-fi, and a very wonderful staff. They welcome you with delicious green tea and the outdoor area upstairs is a nice place to relax at night. We had to be up before breakfast for a flight so they out breakfast in our room the night before. It was perfect. Only stayed here one night, but it was the perfect last day to our trip in Morocco! all reviews » The owner of the Riad was so nice and helpful, she made perfect tea and gave us map on the fist day and she woke up at 6 to make the breakfast for us, although they serve them from 8.30 am. For the first time is good stay and good value for money. The first day everyone is lost in small streets of the Medina, but 2 and next days we found our way to the main Market and back to the Riad with no problems, it takes around 20 minutes get to the Market. The bus station is 5 and Majorelle Jardin -1. The riad was located in the northern part of the Medina of Marrakesh. This area is not as nice as the southern part, but you can feel and explore the busy life of the city much better here. It was just about 10 minutes to the central square on foot and less than 5 minutes to the "Gare de Routiers" (Bus 19 to the airport). Although the riad was in the middle of the Medina, it was very quiet. The terrace, where breakfast is being served, is very nice and quiet. If you don't expect a 5-star hotel,. Friendly and warm welcome, masses of adaptability, lovely spacious rooms, free airport transfers (to and from), friendly location in the real medina, gorgeous breakfasts. I would definitely stay here again (oh by the way, if you are looking for 4 star perfection, look elsewhere and pay the relevant price- this is a real family hotel, with its odd imperfections, which to me is part of the charm!). Nice Staff, Decent breakfast, comfortable well decorated rooms and interiors. Shobha and Ilham took good care of us. Shobha gave us an alternative room since the ac was not working when we reached and got it promptly repaired the very next day. The rest of the staff were also really warm and jolly :-). Good location - 10-15 min stroll to the main square and souks. The lady who ran the riad was amazing, very helpful. We arrived late and she offered us a light dinner, just what was needed. We stayed in a tent designed room on the roof and although a cold night the room had heating and was very comfortable. The riad is beautifully decorated and has a very warm feeling About it. The location was perfect (close to the heart of Medina and to the Majorella gardens as well), the owners and the staff were all very kind and our room was clean and it looked like on the pictures (although I imagined it to be a little bit bigger and lighter). We enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evening. the staff is very helpful and friendly, the lady in front office is speaking english very well, unlike the other staff in Maroccoan hotel who speak only french. the hotel is cute, unique, confort and clean. we felt hommy when we arrived in hotel Dar salam. the location is perfect near to tourist attraction Marakesh. The only small thing was that the Dar Salam is really difficult to find, when you've never been there before. Was a bit noisy as the Riad is right next to a set of smaller Soukes, but was to be as expected. In fact it was nice to hear the real Marrakech and gave the place a nice atmosphere. the room was small and dark. Nothing. It was difficult to find and had a bad experience with someone who guided us to the place as he went to the wrong street at first and then went a very long way round and demanded a lot of money which we weren't comfortable paying. Not the fault of the Dar but I'd advise people to be careful when they arrive in Marrakech. The description of a 10min walk from the square is wrong it was more like 20mins. The location of the Riad was on a street 20 minutes outside the heart of Marrakech by foot and in an area with very few other tourists. However we (as two young female travellers) never felt unsafe on the street. The key had to stay on the window in the hall where everybody could have access to it while we went out for walks and it didn't feel safe. we left our bags in the hall on the last day and when picking them up, nobody was there while the front door was opened.. otherwise everything was fantastic and a perfect choice. No juice on the breakfast. Good for a short stay. Location is not ideal. Room was rather small. Roof terrace view is suboptimal. Quite far from jami el fna. Just hv to remember the route, otherwise its easier to get lost. beds were a bit hard. Poor wifi sigal. We didn't get the room we reserved and on the second day swapped our rooms moving all our stuff then tried to deny it. It turned out the did this to all the customers to keep them happy when they arrived. Breakfast tasted like washing up liquid and most of the time you could just hear customers complaining in the riad. Was a bit of joke. HU: - Marokkói viszonylatban (is) szörnyű reggeli (péksütemény, margarin, méz, instant kávé), Marrakechben nem adnak friss narancslevet... no comment - nehéz megtalálni a szállást (a booking-os GPS koordináták hibásak) - a személyzet angolja sokszor érthetetlen EN: - the breakfast was terrible (baggett, margarine, honey, instant coffee), without fresh orange juice in Marrakech... no comment. - hard to find the riad (wrong GPS coordinates on site) - the staff has poor English pronunciatio. It is not easy to reach the place, quite far from the main Plaza. We had booked a transfer but we did not get it. Room was dark and dank;. Wrong information ragarding time needed walking to Marrakech centre and name of the street/rue, what meaned a big confusion and being lost for 2 hours. Spa is not located in the hostel/house. Very far from the centre (but taxi = cheap) don't understand the good revieuws The owner is not friendly at all Wanted to make us pay for a taxi transfer from the airport (12 euro!!) but we didn't made a reservation. Not a pleasant stay. Regret to book this hotel. Very dodgy place and housekeeper. Not a honest place.
