Casa Lila is amazing! It felt like a real treat. They upgraded us to a bigger room at no charge, and the Rose suite was phenomenal! I loved the bright colors and the design of Casa Lila, and how it felt both old/antique and new/modern at the same time. In the room was the most amazing bath, part of the old Hammam, we were told. The room was spacious and so very comfortable. Breakfast on the roof was a treat too. The staff was super friendly and helpful, booking us a last minute hammam and massa.

The breakfast on the terrace was served by a calming and attentive member of staff and varied each morning. Our suite on the second floor was spacious and quiet. Located in the Medina this riad is close to everything. The terrace area was good for sunbathing and there were loungers on another floor too. Plenty of places to sit comfortably within the riad. From the moment we arrived we felt instantly relaxed. Everything from the bespoke rooms (spacious with large comfy beds, each uniquely designed) the welcoming staff sharing great recommendations, to the peaceful terrace and spa was wonderful. Essaouira was also a fabulous place to escape to. This was by far our favourite place we stayed in the whole of Morocco. Great location, very close to Bab Marrakech, so a quick 5 minute walk from the Supratours Bus Station...very convenient. Extremely helpful staff - talk to Aziz, he will set you up for a lovely visit of Essaouaira. Décor was eclectic and lovely. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was nice - albeit not on the water, but the Crème Egyptian is worth the trip alone!. I absolutely loved the staff at Casa Lila. They treated me like a highly cared-for guest and helped me with everything I needed. Being a solo traveller, this was very important to me. Their recommendations of things to do and places to go were perfect for my tastes and made my time in Essaouira very happy and memorable. Extremely kind staff ...greatly appreciated in a difficult day of "couscous" revenge ...being attended on by "Florence Nightingale's" gang ....great terrace , location and breakfast, even if it has to be always on the roof even in freezing cold winds for some reason..... The shower was not very effective but the water was hot. Having to leave!. The wifi was slightly weak and did not work in certain areas of my room. The doors to my room were a bit difficult to open and close. There was a family with a small child that was a bit noisy, but is understandble that this is difficult to control. I rated the value for money as good as it was a bit pricey, but I would still pay this amount to stay here. Bathroom light was pretty dim. We had booked a transfer to Marrakesh through the Hotel and there clearly was a miscommunication on the means of transport. So, in the end the transfer turned out to be more expensive than we had expected. nothing. Paying by card (credit or debit) attracted a 4.2% surcharge - so pay in cash if possible!. Would have liked a proper shower and very difficult to shower in the bath without even a shower curtain. The bathroom in the bedroom wasn't ideal. The breakfast was only a continental breakfast but the terrace lovely. There was nothing we didn't like. Nothing. I really can't think of anything. having to leave!. Drain of lavabo. rooms too dark, no open air-windows,no a/c. We stayed in "suite Saffron", for €103/n totally overpriced.Bathroom a joke, had to climb into shower(w/o curtains). Mattress awful,probably not changed for decades or since opening. Can`t recommend to anybody.
