This lovely hotel is nestled right up against the mountains therefore has stunning views over the valley and of the beautiful village of Chefchouen. We arrived at night and the hotel and gardens were an absolute picture with lit lanterns lighting the pathways and fairy lights in the trees. By day the view and the hotel (and its decor) were equally wonderful. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated and the staff friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath chalet and that was lovel.
all reviews » A lovely hotel located at the back of the town, up against the mountainside. We really enjoyed our time there. The staff were friendly and very helpful, getting us a guide who took us to see local traditional crafts (ahem), showing us good places to eat and drink (there are only 3 places in Chaouen that serve alcohol) and helping us to use the local hamam safely. In a town where tourists are fair game for con artists and those looking to make a quick buck, we felt happier arranging things via t. The hotel is absolutely stunning, colourful design with a moroccan feel. The outdoor areas are lovely, you can relax by the pool or amongst the flowers with a fantastic view of Chefchaouen. We were lucky enough to have a room with a view over the whole town. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Breakfast was delicious, a variety of moroccan breads with a wide range of local toppings. I highly recommend if you want to relax in an attractive place and don't mind being a 5 min walk outside . Chefchaouen and this hotel are what makes traveling to Morocco worthwhile. The hotel is right next to the old city/medina (easy walk) and has wonderful views and a great pool. This is the place to stay in Chefchaouen, and this city is easy to tour without the hassle of being followed and hawked constantly as in other places in Morocco. If I went to only one place in Morocco, I would chose this village and this hotel. Chose one of the suites on the hill above the pool, they are worth the extra m. the hotel was lovely, decorated well and comfortable. The staff were excellent even though it was Ramadan and so hot.. The pool and garden was excellent to relax in after the busy medina. The views were stunning and I had a wonderful massage. Highly recommend.. This hotel was great! We loved it!. Our first night in Morocco and what a fabulous place to start our trip. Wonderful villa with fantastic views of town and mountains. Only wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely return on our next trip. The hotel has excellent location. Though outside the media, but very close to it. It also has its advantage as you can approach the hotel by car. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Nice swimming pool. This is as good as it gets in Morocco ! Great position, superb little pool, fantastic view over the medina, 10mins walk from the east entrance to the medina, parking for 20Dh/day. What a great surprise. We loved this resort. So far everything!. very nice hotel. Nice location. magical. The location of the dar, though a bit far from the medina centre, is excellent as it has good views of the medina from high above. It is also near the ras el ma, the river where women used to wash their clothes. It is about 15 to 20 minutes to the centre of medina and there are picturesque views all the way. The room is decorated in traditional moroccan style with a a large sitting area for relaxation. Overall, it is quite a good stay. The only problem is that we have booked an early morning ta. Love it!! Want to go back. Xx but the calls to pray from the 5 mosques have got to be some of the loudest I have ever heard. I'd have liked the free wifi to be available in the rooms rather than just the communal areas, and the food prices were a bit higher than elsewhere in the town, but they are very minor complaints as the wifi was still free and the food was still massively cheaper than at home and was of a very high standard. On the last day a large coach party arrived which made it far less relaxing. There are only a couple of kitchen staff which wasn't enough to continue to attentiveness that had been there before. There were wild dogs that entered the grounds of the hotel. One blocked the entrance to our room. We asked for help from the hotel staff at front desk, & they said, "Dogs are not what we do". I had to get a long stick and some empty plastic bottles to throw at the growling dog. I love dogs, but this was dangerous and no help came from the hotel, in fact they refused to give help. Nothing!. Actually no shortcomings. That we did not have time for more than two nights :-(. It's not easy to call directly by phone. Room was a bit small, bathroom smelt of damp (no window). That we only stayed one day. Anything..... One of the bedsheets in our room seemed not to be clean. No WiFi in room. The wifi was only available in the lobby. size of room a little small. De wijn die je kan meebrengen, maar je eigenlijk kan kopen als je maar genoeg betaald. Nothing. A room on the third floor. Over priced!. A bit hard to find.
