This is a bar/restaurant that has just started offering hotel services as well (late 2012). The owner, Maurizio, from Milan, is very welcoming : one can see that he truly loves his job and does his best to please the clients - in which he's successful ! the hotel has a good location, just at the corner of tulum's main street and the playa's road, in front of a supermarket and next to a grocery store that's open 24/7, which is convenient. Nice rooms, nice place, good food ! and the italian warmt.

The free breakfast served every morning was excellent and far from your typical breakfast. Serving Mexican, Italian and American to suit every taste. We loved every little quirk about Pacha Tulum. From its design, to the little clothing/jewellery store and the yoga/massage studio out the back. Overall we love Pacha Tulum and it has been our favourite place to stay while t. The owners were great- gave us the room earlier than check in time, were very flexible and welcoming and gave us some great tips about places to go in the area. The room was clean and the bed and the shower were the best we had so far in central america. There is a big supermarket and atm just across the road and the center of town is only 10 minutes walk. GREAT value for the money, rooms and showers adequate, AC and hot water. Very conveniently located at entrance to city of Tulum. Large supermarket (San Francisco) across the street with an ATM inside, open until 10pm. BREAKFAST was copious and very good. The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is within 2k of the ruins and beach. The coffee was excellent and the general atmosphere was relaxed. The room was spacious. But it's a great choice also to stay in tulum pueblo. The location is on a main road, but the rooms are located inside a small garden, so still it is very quiet. A bit far from the beach (5 min. Drive). Night guard checked us in at 7pm ... trouble finding keys etc. A little bit of a walk to Tulum restaurants (4 blocks) but nice restaurant at the corner. The bed wasn't very comfortable. It was close to the road but quiet at night. Also the beach is a bit far but if you rent a car or a bike it's 5 min away!. Everything was great. ants, make sure not to leave anything sweet in the room:). The room could have been cleaner. The water in the shower flooded. The bathroom's door is half size so no real privacy in there. The cost had gone up 50% from the week before (approaching high season). Rooms not as clean. King size bed in Pacha Tulum is done only by putting 2 single beds together. Beds are a little bit squeaking. Normal door to bathroom would be great. Location next to busy road, noisy, beds are not very comfortable, hard and squeaky. Hole in door near the floor, so lots of mosquito's and no mosquito net, only half door to bathroom, not much privacy. It's a bit of random location far away from the beach but within 10mins walking distance to the main road with enough bars and restaurants. The beds are super uncomfortable. Very springy. We booked a double which was two beds pushed together, one of the beds were broken. we changed accommodation because of this. Location, charged my card and cancelled my reservation when the booking was still active and gave me a double-deck bed instead of double bed.
