i loved the view from our suite and the swimming pools are big and clean and the bar in the hotel was really fun because of karaoke, very central close to many bars and liquor stores. hotel made us feel very safe and everyone spoke english so my wife didnt have to feel like she didnt know what was going on..lol. We liked that they had 3 out of 4 pools for us to use. Hotel was kept very clean while we stayed there. The hotel was located right on the beach, it was about 200 ft from our hotel room. During our stay there were not alot of guests (Sun thru Thurs) which made it very good for our kids.

Beautiful view of ocean, room had kitchenette with dishes etc. (only one burner on stove worked, toaster broken) Price through letsbookhotel.com was great, we would stay there again despite the few glitches we experienced. My stay there was much better than I thought. I read many reviews but was impressed by the atmosphere there, the staff was great at answering any questions and the hotel was location was great for walking to beach and nightlife. Had a wonderful anniversary. The only thing I think the hotel should of done was knowing that it was our 30th anniversary was the reason, they would of mentioned it...or something. I went with my husband for holidays during winter and we have such a wonderful trip. The hotel is very romantic and the food in the restaurant is great. Nice place for a quick visit. We stayed in an ocean view room in the Coronado tower. This is the portion closest to the beach and is a bit older. The location is GREAT.The view from our ocean view room fabulous. The fast pass they give you saves hours returning to the U.S.Staff was friendly. The visitors from U.S.A. they need to know the Hotel offer FREE FAST LANE PASS for cross the border and don't need to wait for hours!. Everything was fabulous! The service and food were delicious, not to mention the atmosphere of the whole hotel was just beautiful. We liked the proximity of the hotel to the beach and pier. Swimming pools & hotel premises were clean & well maintained. Great access to the beach, the new tower is amazing and well worth the price. Beach and activities for families are good. Staff are so very helpful, speek english. I left a large tip after 2 days to my housekeep who spoke english also. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was clean with a great ocean view. We will stay here again. We enjoyed the palapa bar...its relaxing..wish it was open late in the summer. The staff were awesome. Loved the staff, everyone was friendly, nice basic hotel. Very clean. It was an easy walk to downtown Rosarito and they also provided the "FastPass" to cross the border back into USA. What we liked was that the staff is friendly, and helpful, when u are in the premises you can feel safe . The location right on the beach and close to shopping was terrific. only half the equipment in the gym was functional, resturants on site are a bit pricey and not that great also didnt like the fact that you are assinged to certain pools because of different wrist bands. One pool was for adults only which would have been fine but It was not functioning while we stayed there. Vendors on the beach were kind of annoying but by no fault of the hotel. Rooms were a little outdated but for the money we paid ($55 a night) it wasn't a deal breaker. They were doing work (breaking concrete) outside our room our whole stay which was constant and so loud, it caused headaches. I think they should have closed down that floor since they were working 8 hours a day or more on it. There were also middleschool age school there for graduation and they were running up and down screaming all the time. I have children and understand they were having fun, but my husband and I were trying to spend some relaxing time together in between business. No in-room coffee and no free wi-Fi. It does get a bit rowdy at night in the weekend. On both nights, we were awakened abruptly by drunk people who were shouting in the hallway. The hotel management needs to ensure that such incidents are dealt with immediate to ensure that other guests are not disturbed or do not feel unsafe. WiFi access is not good, you pay $5 and they give you a really bad bandwith. I couldn't take a look at more than two pages and then it shut down. It's also only valid for one device only. No face clothes, really? What a waste having to use a bath towel (no smaller towels in the room). No soap holder in the bathroom. Lots of flys in the coffee house and Pacific Tower lobby. Staff does their best and they seemed embarassed of these issues. I can't think of anything I didn't like. I was only there for one night. Room service told us 20-30 mins for 1 order of French Toast and a fruit plate. After 1 hour the food still had not arrived (we ordered at 9:00). When we called to check the woman rudely stated that they were busy and it was on its way. The food finally arrived at 10:40 and we almost missed our excursion due to the food delay- if they would have been truthful when we were placing the order and told us the real wait time we would have known not to order. Their wi-fi services is super slow. I ended up asking for my money back, I was unable to connect to their wi-fi. had to wait 6 hours to be moved to another room while they tried to fix internet. Water pressure, and not enough hot water. The room was too small and they hardly have accomidations for large familys, or even having more then two people in a room. It could use an upgrade on the rooms. A bit dated decor in the Coronado tower side. all of pools unheated, if open at all. most of other activities closed due to "off season" we were told. food and drink prices fairly high, drink prices in bar higher then I pay at home bar in beach/ tourist town. Everything was good. The wrist bands!!!! This is a rediculous idea.I Understand the situation but you must come up with something better.Going out of the area with these things on is totally stupid.My wife could not put on her jewelry without this thing showing.I Scratched myself showering and ripped it off. A bit outdated, but still a good hotel for Mexico standards. On the bar service very slow and need more variety mixed drinks.. I really don'T have A reason. no dislikes. When I booked this room it was supposed to be an ocean view room, however once we arrived they couldn't find our reservation and then when they did, they told us they upgraded us. It was not an upgrade, the room did not have an ocean view, no A/C, the water was either extremely hot or extremely cold and the room was old. I didn't like the fact that when I booked the room through booking It showed the total cost, and when I checked out it was different then what I was quoted online, a $50 difference. The gym, could be a bit larger. For such large new towers, the gym is VERY Small. Takes over 4 hours to cross the border heading back to US. It is completely out of control and this would keep me from going back. It was some what expensive. the hotel is showing its age. Needs updating. The noise. We stated in an older cabana. The rooms need to be updated. There was a stage backdrop right in front of our window blocking our ocean view. Very dissapointing. The new rooms are lovely tho. Beds were really uncomfortable. Guests were loud at 2 am waking my kids up and no one, but me, to quiet them. Dinner buffet was below par. There was no WiFi! And there was no kid's games (Loteria, etc) when it was advertised there were. Lastly, it seemed dangerous exiting the hot tub, descending the stairs with no handrail. The rooms are dated. No dressers except for a small nightstand with drawers. You can tell a table was taken out leaving only two chairs and a low-hanging lamp. One of the chairs was broken. The wi-fi is free, but you get what you pay for. It is very slow. The lobby listed wi-fi upgrades available for an additional fee, but when asked, I was advised they no longer offered that service. In addition, no ice machines so you have to go to the restaurant/bar or call room service if you need ice. No heat in the suite -- baseboard heater in the bedroom did not heat anything except itself. We were in the older part of hotel. It needs major updating. Shower mildewed, needs new chaulking. shower facuet about to fall of wall. Not enough outlets. The smell in our room was that of a sewer or septic tank. The maid gave us Lysol to spray in the room. Do Not Rent Anything in the Playas Building. Too old, too outdated and we laid down towels on the couch because it was filthy. What I didn't like a bout the room was that it needs to be cleaner. The bath tub looks like it has been in a tornado, its that beat up. The hallways need painting, there are ongoing touch up repairs, but their'e left half ways done and that makesit look torn down. It is an older property and the rooms are not insulated from the night cold or for sound. We had very active neighbors that we would not have been able to hear in a newer property but they were very loud. We froze during the night. Thin blankets.
