all reviews » This place was incredible, and for the price, ridiculous considering what we got. The hotel is relatively brand new right down to the furnishings. We tried to stay at the Hotel Fontan originally and they screwed us on our booking. These guys were very accommodating offering us a twin room, directions, laundry and information about tours. When it even came time to leave, they carried our bags and offered us a free drink as we made our way to the airport. The location is perfect and quiet just of. We loved everything about Hotel Plaza Revolución! The staff was gracious, friendly and helpful. The design is very modern and upscale. We couldn't believe we were staying in such a beautiful place at such a reasonable price. We also enjoyed being near the Plaza Revolution Monument, with banks and a Starbucks just around the corner. It was our first trip to Mexico City. We can't wait to go back and will definitely stay at Plaza Revolución Hotel again. P.S. we also very much enjoyed our all-day t. Very good location in a safe district, at 400-500 metres from a metro station, although it was slightly spoiled by some trash freaks who had made a huge tent camp at Plaza Revolucion and surrounding streets with some odd political demandings which leaded to closing some good restaurants in a neighbourhood. Also the hotel has very friendly and helpful stuff who, for example, presented me an adapter for Mexican electrical socket. We liked this small hotel very much. It has been modernized with an upscale design and selection of quality materials throughout. The best value for your money in Mexico City!. nice place! It's in front of the monument of revolution, and take 5 minute from metro Hidalgo and the park of Alameda. It got hot at times at night and there appears to be no air conditioning in the rooms despite being fully renovated. However, once we mentioned this to the reception, they quickly got us a portable air con unit. So this is not really a negative in a sense. You might want to bring ear-plugs if you are sensitive to noise at night. It was a bit stuffy in the room which did not have any air conditioning or ventilation, but it can be solved by opening a balcony door which is faced towards a small inner court. The street is seedy but the hotel is only a few steps to a major street and La Reforma. The breakfast was just OK so we went to Hotel Imperial on La Reforma for a splendid buffet. Small interior courtyards amplify the sounds from other rooms, but the noise wasn't a problem with ear plugs. The room is little bit small and doesn't get in sun light well, but it's ok. You can here other people's talking outside of you're room. Doesn't have refrigerater. Due to the central air-well/courtyard, it can get a bit noisy at night - but nothing a pair of ear-plugs couldn't fix :). No aircondition, thin walls, very loudly. be aware when you order a taxi to the aiport. its not an official taxi and once you are inside the car he doubles the price. very rude. no bargaining. nothing. Balcony was tiny. But everything was great!!!. Lack of kitchen personnel - couldn't order a breakfast because too many people have already ordered it. Weepy breakfast. A little bit loud, you can hear everything that happens in the hall and even in other rooms. Can be noisy at night if the sliding door is open. a better breakfast. Bed a little too hard. restaurant, very slow service every day. rooms were small and street was really untidy and shady.
