  The hotel is fabulously old. With portraits and paintings in the lobby from years gone by. I love the old-world charm of the Spanish colonial building. The staff at check in was great, and was always willing to answer our questions - Great atmosphere, lots of character. Staff very helpful, we just didn't like the rooms offered.   I liked everything!! The hotel is gorgeous, the staff, the owners and the owners friends were just great. It wasn't like a hotel stay, I felt like being a guest in a friends home. It's perfect for couples, very romantic, and you just can't beat the views. It's great to stay at such a quiet place in GTO--some places in the centro can be very noisy. The food was delicious, too. The best "pan dulce" I've ever had in Mexico, too!
