all reviews » Close to the orangutans, just 5 minutes walk. The hotel was built very cool in the middle of the jungle. They had a pond with turtles and another one with big fishes. Location is good the place is abit tired and in need of some TLC gardens are awesome. Excellent location. Only 5minutes on foot from the Orangutan reserve. room; turtles in restaurant; exterior; wi-fi in the room. Location excellent for the Orang Utan Sanctury. The location was wonderful they could do so much more with this place! Orangutans just five minutes walk away! All located in the rainforest! Stunning wildlife!. Easy access to Sepilok orangutans and various wildlife trips. Only the location of the resort. Bit expensive. Some wooden passways need maintenance. Nothing. Bed covers - should be something more simple and eco. there was broken plastic chairs and a collection of empty cans lying at the entrance to the resort, also rubbish bins not emptied. Musty smell in the twin superior room with very hard mattresses.12" TV in the room had a cloudy reception. Unfortunately I got food poisoned in the hotel restaurant, so it was really bad timing since we were in Sepil. Having to pay to use swimming pool,drinks too expensive. Musty room & uncomfortable bed. those 2 days in which I had a rest in hotel, there took place a seminar of any group of people who the slogans shouted all day long at all hotel. this disrespect in relation to other lodgers; fix taxi cost from hotel to Sandakan (RM 50); paid pool; absence a shuttle-bass to Rainforest Discovery Centre. Rained ++ walkways to restaurant not covered therefore got very wet ! ! Could organise some evening entertainment, poor use of bar facilities. Breakfast was cold, not a lot to choose from drink wise only tea or coffee unless you wanted to pay extra Walls very thin you can hear your neighbours clearly! Should be charging much less for this!. Quality of rooms,cleanliness, cold and poor breakfast and food generally,pool only open at 10 am till 5 pm, pool facilities poor,only cold drinks available , no control over silly behaviour at pool. Noisey hotel guests, Screaming children all during night, breakfast not ready on time and very very poor selection of food,.
