From check-in to check-out, the staff was above and beyond accommodating. From upgrading us to the best available room to bubble- wrapping fragile gifts that would travel home with us, I have never met more helpful hotel staff. The rooms are well-designed and make the most of the space. The location is absolutely prime, right in the heart of bustling Myeong-dong. Being in walking distance to Namdaemun Market, Shinsegae, Mount Namsan and the N. Seoul Tower, and the culturally rich food and shopp.
all reviews » the location is excellent. there is 3 metro station near by, it is depends on where you want to go and which metro station you want to take. The metro station is within the walk distance. 8 min walk to city hall station. The hotel is near by Myeongdong, it take around 10 min walk distance. Hotel will provide to you a location map, it is really useful and easy to understand. you may ask them the correct way for walking to metro station. if you go for the wrong way, it might be a bit far for you . Location of the hotel is good once you get familiarized with the area. It is close enough to the City Hall subway station (5-7 min walk) and very near Myeongdong shopping district (10 min walk). Hotel is also close to lots of restaurants that serve all types of Korean specialties (E.G. octopus, grilled beef, bibimbap, etc) The standard room that we got was very clean and surprisingly spacious. The blankets and pillows are of good quality and the control panels for the toilet, air conditioning, . I loved the room on the 10th floor, open bath, just separated by a glass from the rest (might be seen different if you are not travelling alone), nice view across some part of the city. Lovely small restaurant which they call Dinehall. Very friendly and helpfull staff, e.g. with recommendations for restaurants. Good location, 120 m from Airport Bus stop, same distance to Namdaemun Market , Myeongdong with a lot of shops and restaurants just 2 blocks away. Short walk to City Hall and Plaza. Metr. Friendly staff who try hard to explain me some stuff when i just arrived from Paris and get very tired because of the jet-lag. I'm sorry to make you repeat all the explanation. the simple room was nice for a single traveller but i think it will be a little small for two travellers Hotel is near all the accommodations (near City Hall station, Namdaemun market and the neighbourhood have a lot of restaurants) and from tourist place like Chyeonggyecheon. I really enjoy my stay in the hotel and Séou. This is a newly opened property and in operations since 1st of April 2013. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Some of them speak Japanese and fluent English. The variety of the breakfast was simple but quality is good and fulfilling enough. It's about 10 minutes walk to popular shopping area, Myeongdong. I would like to thank the managers, Hasmin & Michelle for their kindness during my 3 nights stay with them. We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff, both at reception and in the restaurant. To our surprise we had been upgraded to a suite, without extra payment. The room was fantastic, the bed more than comfortable and the bathroom very luxurious! The location was excellent; within walking distance of the hightlights we wanted to visit. When i was walking on the street looking for the hotel, a staff saw me and helped me with my luggage and was very friendly, staff speaks good English. very soft bed and blinds that block out all of the light. My sister and I stayed at a deluxe suite which has twin beds and a little "platform" with cushions and a tea table, very pretty. Bathroom was modern and stylish. Wifi was reasonably fast. Location is very good, close to Myeongdong, and airport bus stop. Friendly front desk. Very likeable compact modern style; excellent location for shopping, eating and drinking, as well as traveling around; if you're a Aland fanatic, or fond of cat/dog cafes, or taking korean cosmetics shopping as the mission for your trip, then this is your right choice!. Airport Bus was located few steps away so transport from to airport is excellent. I love the fact that the hotel is strategically located in between myeongdong & nandaenum market, so shopping is a breeze. Be sure to bring your own clock or use your cell phone to keep track of time, as there are none in the rooms. The only this this hotel is missing is a spa/sauna service! But if that's the only complaint I can come up with, they're certainly doing something right. Bit of noise from a construction site during daylight which the hotel manager apologizes for with a letter at arrival. There's only one lift serving all the rooms. And I don't like the idea where I open the door from outside and I can see the bathtub. Better to keep the address & contact of the hotel by your side because not too many taxi drivers know the location of this hotel. The view from our window (room on the first floor). New facilities but not very clean, there was a few strand of hair in the bathtub upon checkin. Towels smelled of bleach which wasn't pleasant. Located on top of a hill so coming from city hall subway or airport bus might be tiring with luggage. No door to the shower and sink area and sliding door for toilet, may be awkd if you are not staying with someone you are not close with. Frankly speaking.... Nothing. A new hotel currently being built directly in front of the ShinShin will unfortunately block the view. Wifi in the room has very weak signal. I had a twin bed room which was a bit narrow for 2 people. Especially if one is sitting on the desk, the other person cannot get to the other side. It is better to use a chair without back rest in this room. And there is a slight unpleasant damp smell in the entire premise. As a side note, it appears that a new building will be built in front of the hotel, so it might be noisy and dusty in the months to come, view could be obstructed too. Nothing. Absolutely nothing! There are however some things you need to know. The hotel was hard to find (even for my taxi driver). As a new hotel he had never heard of it. If you are arriving by bus or metro and then walking, make absolutely sure you know where the hotel is. There is also some construction work going on nearby which you will see but thankfully not hear!. can't think of much...the reception might have been difficult to find if we didn't read beforehand that it was in the basement. Just minor things: the bathroom could use better lighting over the sink area. Aircon was a bit noisy and placed directly over the beds, and we found the fan too strong to be comfortable. Breakfast next door was a bit pricey at 15.000 KRW. Try to avoid going there via City Hall subway station if you have a lot of luggage as there are no escalators, and as far as we could see also no elevators. The reception is at the basement but somebody is always waiting on the ground floor to assist you. Our taxi driver did not know the hotel location and we were dropped off at the end of the alley to walk up to the hotel. Some door hooks behind the toilet door wud be nice. Had expected some coffee and tea bags in the room but there were none. Very small selection of breakfast menu. Had 4 days of same food for breakfast. Room was extremely small but thats what you get for the price. Room was teeeeensy, air condition was not very cold, and no room service available (nothing too major). Restaurant seemed to be opened for very limited hours. I came back the one evening at 9.30pm and it was already closed. It is not easy to find the first and/or even the 2nd time. Slight step down to bathroom area, small tub, no room wifi. Note there is no door between tub/shower and room which might be a problem for some. The rooms did not leave much space for luggage. Perfect for someone who travels with small suitcase or carry-on luggage, but not enough room for 2 full size suitcases and hand luggage. We stayed two nights and everything was perfect for us. the pillow is just too soft...hard to sleep... -A little far from the metro station. City hall was 5 min walking. - Rooms are a little small. The door of shower room cannot be closed tightly. And it would be nice if there is closet to keep the clothes clean and get rid of smoke. They can speak english, japanese and Korean, but not chinese. The room was not as big as it was pictured. Room is little small. The elevator two systems to get in and out but this is not a show stopper I would stay again. Room size is extremely small but that's fair due to the low price. Basin was made too low. I had to bend down to wash. breakfast could be warmer - we felt it bordered on cold and had to ask to be reheated or remade. also, when staff clean room please leave the showerhead as it was as it was placed in perfect postition on arrival and then moved and had trouble getting it back to original position as kept falling down. Small room, no space even for one luggage in our room (standard double)... The rooms are too small, and if the price are lower that would be a great hotel!. The room is small and the taxi driver struggled for half an hour to locate the hotel because he couldn't find it on gps.
