  My wife and I are American expats, living in the city of Yeongju, which is more or less central Korea. We loved our stay at Novotel Daegu, and do certainly recommend it to anyone from folks needing a casual weekend getaway to personnel travelling to Daegu for business purposes. Our room was excellent, from the expansive bathroom, to the comfortabl... what people say » e King- sized bed, to the couch by the window with an excellent overlook of the city--absolutely perfect. - The hotel is centrally located, easy to find from the subway/metro. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It's not an inexpensive hotel, but you do get what you pay for. The choices at the breakfast were varied and plentiful. I can't speaker to the cost of the breakfast as it was included in my room selection.

  Location for my purposes was ideal. I was visiting military installations Camp Walker and Camp Henry which were in walk-able distances from the hotel which was about 1/2 mile to either camp. - In the begining some of the staff were friendly.

  The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, located basically in the center of the city, culture was amazing, you got to see it first hand, located near train station, and subway station, taxi's easily accessed. Train noise was minimal, everything basically within walking distance if you would rather walk. They also have a laundry service, takes a couple days, but the clothes smell fresh when you get them ba - The staff whom we believe is the owner is a verry nice lady, eventhough she does not speak English, but she can understand what we are trying to say. Eventhough the hotel does not provide breakfast but in the morning when we were abt to check out, we were informed that there is light breakfast with toast, hard boil egg and coffee on self service without charges. The hotel is just few mins walk from the train terminal
