This place is really convenient for a stay in Nara. Its location is excellent, right next to Nara Park. We have stayed in a Japanese style room overlooking to the nice Japanese garden. Its equipment was a little bit "poor", and the room was not the cleanest, but a good value for money. Strong wifi connection was useful, and the Staff helped us a lot. Nara park and temples are closeby. The train station is about a 30 minutes walk but the Staff can arrange a taxi for you, in this case the way is . all reviews »
Receptionist speaks fluent English and all staff members are very friendly. Traditional Japanese style setting of room. Japanese garden right outside the room that you can access by sliding open the window. Calming and beautiful environment!.
Best location. Great staff. Don't eat there as they don't cook on location. Not a true ryokan as you can use shoes until in your room and bath facilities in each room. My friend Fran and I loved staying there. Good atmosphere in Old Nara.
Rustic Settings.
The only disadvantage of this Hotel is that is has a curwef at 11 pm, keep in mind when you are booking!.
No food, not even bottled water, available on premises.
Bathroom and toilet facilities could use an upgrade.
