The hotel is in a perfect location - right opposite the Kyoto station. The station itself is an excellent place for shopping and eating. In front of the hotel is the bus station, which has the buses that will take you to all the sights in Kyoto. Basically, the location of the hotel cannot be better. The hotel feels spacious, classy (but not OTT), and well maintained. The staff were very professional, helpful and efficient. Check in and out was quick and without fuss. The room was nicely equip.

(And also just across from a Post Office, coffee shop and handy 7/11-style convenience store). Room was larger than I'm used to when staying in Japan, and kept very clean. Staff speak some English, and were always helpful. There are food and drink vending machines in the hotel, as well as eateries (though it's cheaper to eat outside of hotel). We were . The hotel is just directly opposite the Kyoto station making it very convenient to move around Kyoto by bus and subway. There are numerous food outlets within the Kyoto station so we did not have to eat in the hotel. We could also deposit our luggages with the hotel on the day we checked out and collected them later in the evening when we depart Kyoto. Location next to Kyoto station gave access to the trains, buses, and the subway. It was therefore easy to visit all of the attractions and shopping sites very easily. The room was a nice size and quite comfortable. All that we needed was readily available. Great location opposite the train station and bus terminal so I can catch early morning trains and buses to several attractions before the crowds. Man manager not friendly. the bed was not comfortable at all..not even 1 bottle of complimentary water for the room..n the LCD TV is smaller than my computer screen!!.
