Although we were a bit disappointed with Kyoto sightseeing (kept getting lost), this place was the best out of all the other hotels and hostels we have stayed at. It came with lots of towels, computer, kitchen (no kitchenware), tv in the bathroom, free laundry (buy your own soap), and instructions on how to use the gadgets around the place (ac, water heater, etc.). Since we arrived there an hour early, I was only planning to leave my luggage there before checking in but no one was picking up th.
all reviews » The amount of space was perfect and we didn't feel cramped. The two main beds are up a ladder, which is strange and felt sort of like a clubhouse, but it was unique. When else in my life will I get to act like a kid again, right? The walk was only a few minutes from Kyoto station, which was convenient. I'm not a picky or needy traveler so it was perfect for me. Clean, efficient, comfortable, easily accessible, and we had internet access. What more do you need? All-in-all, it was a great experie. The room is very nice and spacious (there is a kitchenette with washing machine, bathroom with bathtub and tv, living room and beds in the loft) as compared to other hotels that we stayed in Osaka and Kobe for the similar rate. All the toiletries were provided for. There is a computer with internet in the living room for us to use. The guesthouse is also very close to the jr Kyoto Station and there's a big Aeon mall nearby which we didnt get to visit during our stay there. everything. It is for us the place in Kyoto. Guest house is located not too far from Kyoto Station with 15-20 mins walk and not too difficult to find. It's about 5 mins walk to nearest bus top. The guesthouse, located in a typical Japanese neighbourhood, has a peaceful and nice surrounding. It is convenient as it is located just nearby Kyoto Main Station with lots of food outlets and grocery shops. The guesthouse is very clean and neat. There are many useful facilities in each room, such as a stove and a washing machine. I really enjoyed staying at this Guesthouse! K´s House was the perfect hidden spot for a relaxing weekend. There's public and private onsens to explore, dormant volcanoes with magnificent views and the coastline. As a result, guests who bring large baggage and luggage have to heave their heavy bags up the stairs. Also, the soundproof between rooms can be improved. If you want to walk around nice areas at night like Gion or enjoy "kyoto night" I recommend you choose another place. But if you think that you will use a lot the train (to go Nara or the airport for example) this is a good option. The Sofa-bed was hard, short and uncomfortable. Even so the whole condition of the hotel is full well-worth the price. The kitchen had no equipment at all, but for the price it is still well worth it. Not the most comfortable beds for the usual traveler. A little bit far to get to main Kyoto attractions on foot, but if you plan on using metro or bus, it's not a problem. Typical japan size apartments but a little bit smaller. Still we only needed somewhere to sleep for a few nights. Could be a little hard to find but we did walk straight to it on our first attempt. Inquired about leaving luggage after checking out the day we arrived for a 2 night stay but didn't get a response. You have to climb a ladder to get to beds which are located in an open attic type area with low ceiling. No plates or cutlery, we over came this issue by buying take away meals and re using the dishes. These are not negative comments, just comments to make other travlers aware. Difficult to find in the dark. Our taxi driver was a tad confused. Maybe provide directions on the booking page to show a taxi driver. Otherwise fine :). There is no elevator in the guest house, and there is no bus near by, yet we can reach Tokyo station by walking (15 minutes). Quite a walk from the Kyoto station (10-15 mins). nil. The couch is really too old, really need to be replaced. Construction is thin so sound proofing assumes considerate japanese users, not noisy guests. Not easy to find, the map provided by them is a bit confusing... A bit difficult to find as it is locate in resident area. Meet no staff from check-in until check-out then incase of any emergency, you may have to help yourself. there is no elevator! The road to hotel are too dark at night though safe. You have to take care of your own bowls spoons etc so be prepared. Paper cups are there. Nothing. The room did not have one badsheet. A little longer walk after a long tiring day in Kyoto. It wasn't Europian friendly enough for us. No pots, pans, plates or cutlery to go with the facilities. A bit small. The sofa bed is not very confortable。.
