It is actually a B&B. Hard to find because the entrance is an old door with a sign of Hotel Cavour, but nothing else. We were confused but a guy in front said to press the call bottom and door was opened. It is on 2nd floor. The entrance to get there is scary ugly and definitely needs some painting and needs to be fancied up. Up to the time that you go inside of the hotel, you ask yourself "what hotel did I get myself into?". But, after you walk in, it is amazing. It is a 5 star hotel. Ver.
all reviews » This is a fabulous little hotel with only 4 rooms. It is chic, stylish and very well designed. The bedrooms are luxurious in a minimalist way and the bathrooms very up to date. The owner is very friendly and helpful and there is fresh coffee and cake on hand at all times. The included breakfast is provided in a cafe round the corner and is delicious. The owner can recommend several excellent local restaurants with a discount for being guests at the hotel. We were not expecting to find an outsta. This is an impressive find. This B&B is modern and has every convenience. It is beautifully designed near to shops, restaurants, and the lovely promenade from which you can see Sicily as you stroll. It is a comfortable bed with silk sheets. Breakfast is at a coffee bar up the street and we were able to have anything we wanted so we had our first eggs since leaving home. The host, Giuseppe, was marvelous. He was always helping us and even made sure we made our connection to the ferry to. This was just the best B&B experience we have had anywhere. Our host, Giuseppe, was brilliant finding time to take us to breakfast at a local bar (included in price), having lunch with us and chatting about life in Reggio. We loved his company. The B&B is luxury designed, well equipped, clean and drew a few "Wows" from us. Giuseppe was even able to find a way for us to have free local street parking. We recommend this highly for either pleasure trips or business. I liked everything. Placed in the old town, a few steps from the main street, the bb is located in a early 19th century building. It has been tastefully renovated, it has spacious rooms with good pieces of modern design. Wifi is available, te, coffee at 'home' and a good breakfast in one of the best bars in town. The staff is more than friendly, take your time and ask the owner about rc while siping your coffee. If you go to rc forget hotels. In a word, excellent. The owner is fantastic...the room is beautiful and well appointed. Well located to the main attractions, restaurants and train station. The best thing about it is the hospitality of the owner...he makes you feel most welcome, having breakfast with you, advising what to do, where to eat and you end up feeling as if you have made a new friend. The home made cake is delicious...need a taxi his female taxi driver friend is a hoot !. Giuseppe has created a paradise in an older building in Reggio Calabria. It is new, modern, clean and convenient to the sea and town. He was a perfect host. We enjoyed breakfast with him and he accompanied us in a taxi to the airport. Would highly recommend this place and this city for future travellers. Everything! From our greeting on arrival by our host Giuseppe,the decor and quality of our room,the shower in particular, the location to shopping and tourist attractions made our stay an absolute first class experience. Giuseppe even had Vegimite on hand for two travel weary Australians for good measure. We had a wonderful stay! Guiseppe was very kind and attentive (and patient! We were a big group with some older travelers) and went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, everything worked well and we had no issues at all with the rooms. Townhouse Cavour is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in and we have travel extensively over 28 years. The service provided by Guiseppi is second to non. He is out there to provide the best service possible for his clients. We rate this place and a 10 ++. Very nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, perfectly equipped with flatscreen, playstation etc., central location - 20 steps from the Duomo, wonderful building and carefully renovated design rooms, a really nice stay!. Guiseppl makes you feel very welcome in this amazing b&b situated in a good location it is modern luxury i would not hesitate to recommend it thanks guiseppi for all your help and advice. location, cleanliness, quality, comfort. friendliness of host. Breakfast is not in the premises.Giusseppe will take you 5 minutes across the street into a café and you can eat there. Once again we had trouble locating the B&B due to one way streets and areas closed to car traffic. It is worth the effort!. Nothing we did not like about this beautiful B & B. There is absolutely nothing we did not like. There was nothing we didn't like! No complaints. Absolutely nothing.
