The staff were extremely helpful. Being near the Marina Grande was a plus. There was a hotel taxi to the main marina for easy departure. Excellent breakfasts! We loved the hotel!. Il Gelsomino was the perfect get away. The owner's father stays there and takes care of the vineyard and garden. It's a very beautiful setting, you are practically right in the middle of a lemon grove and are invited to take a walk through the vineyard and then try some of the home-made wine. Great experience and very quiet.

Information about the area

The Gelsomino is located in an old area of the island called the Lighthouse area, just a few minutes from the port of Marina Grande and the sea. Nearby is also the famous beach where the Accademy Award winning movie The Postman, featuring Massimo Troisi, was shot.

A bus stop is also available near the Gelsomino (400 metres) while entertainment facilities, bars, restaurants and shops are at about 15 minutes' walk.
