10/10 ten out of ten My wife and I have been traveling Europe for the last 5 weeks for our honeymoon. "VILLA ROSA" experience was truly fantastic. :-) Great value for money, friendly staff, (thank you Maria for making us feel welcome), rooms were large & clean, and the breakfast was fit for a king. Close walking distance to the main town & beach, which was also handy. It was the best hotel, far better than some of the 5 star places we stayed at on our trip. Highly .

It was a superior deluxe room, more expensive than the standard room (which most people go in for), but it was totally worth the money. The staff is super friendly. Specifically Linda from Villa Rosa was fantastic and gave me all required information about places to see, ferry travel and also about my travel back to Rome from Positano. She was great at her job! The staff at Villa Rosa was super quick at their job. You ask for something. Great little place close to all the restaurants and main area. The view from our room was gorgeous - we got a seaview room which had a cute little balcony overlooking the sea and Positano! It is a little expensive, but Positano is more expensive in general. The wi-fi worked well and the breakfast spread was nice especially to enjoy in our balcony. The rooms are simple, but very clean. They have arrangements with a garage nearby for parking that costs extra. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel room with it's views, spacious bathroom and large windows was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked a treat. Having breakfast served daily in the room (there's no breakfast room) on the balcony overlooking the town was a very memorable experience. There is nothing that I didn't like about my stay!. The corridors of hotel were not air-conditioned and were quite stuffy. Like numerous European hotel rooms, the hand shower is not at a height that you can stand under which is very frustrating when trying to shower. As with all hotels in Positano, it is a bit over-priced. Bathroom was a bit awkward and shower was tiny. But It is rustic and charming so that's to be expected in older construction. Nothing at all. Breakfast a bit lacked variety, only bread and cereal. For eggs, it is extra charge such as eu8 for boiled egg or eu10 for scrambled which is not very reasonable. They didn't change the towels when they made up the room. The hotel is situated in a trafficed street. Not a problem for grown-ups, but a bit unpractical with a baby and a stroller. Shower in my room was very small but that was only issue. Can't think of anything I didn't like. Was really expensive during august although it seems typical for positano. Also hotel is full of stairs, no pronlems for us but may be an issue for some. noisy at night simple although pretty basic. Breakfasts very simple - croissants only every second day. Disappointing selection but lovely to be served on private balcony. Nothing. No full length mirror for the girls. Bed a little hard for us. Small Rooms Limited Breakfast, very pricy if you want different than croisants and coffee. Nothing. the stairs are tough getting to the top floor. The rooms, particularly the furnishing and the fittings, did not feel up to standard. Parking is very expensive 25 Euro per day. Free wifi is but doesn't work in most of parts of the hotel. No lift - not suitable for disabled or pregnant women. Breakfast is very limited and served in the rooms (no fruits, hot dishes are charged in addition - expensive). Overpriced hotel, we expected much better service for this price.

Villa Rosa does not have its own restaurant, but it has an agreement with a beautiful restaurant located at the top of the hill, where the view across the town and bay is simply breath-taking.
It is an authentic italian restaurant that serves simple, local dishes in a relaxed and sophisticated environment.
Special attention is also given to the choice of seasonal products and ingredients such as vegetable and fish.
At clients's disposal there is a free shuttle service that pick them up at Villa Rosa at any time.

The 150-year-old villa, built into the cliffside and hidden behind bougainvillea vines high above the road right in town, is on 4 levels.Taking the steps up to the first level, you find the reception area where guests are greeted.

The 12 bedrooms vary in size from small to a spacious king-bedded room with a terrace.

All the rooms, furnished tastefully, have the usual private services, including air-conditioning, telephone and television.

Bedrooms maintain original tiles and vaulted ceilings and are furnished with simple antiques, while bathrooms display typical yellow and blue hand-painted tiles from Vietri.

All the rooms have access to the large front terraces which are divided by plants and grapevine-covered pergolas for privacy. Picturesque views of Positano's colourful houses and the spectacular coastline are enjoyed from any point.

By bus:
From Sorrento get off at bus stop "La Sponda" and walk down the hill towards the centre of the town. Villa Rosa is situated near the hotel "Le Sirenuse".
