The location is perfect, the view is outstanding, the staff is friendly and efficient. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the cozy room (we stayed in a small double room), the privacy of our own terrace and the pool (much needed during some very hot days). The proximity to siena, florence and pisa was also very helpful. Breakfast is light but sufficient. Dinner at the restaurant is not only convenient since it is so close, but also delicious and with enough variety. Might be a little more expens.
all reviews » There is a great landscape around the hotel: classic italian countryside with the fields, trees, an old church on the hill.. The houses are stuffed with everything you need. It would be perfect to rent it for a whole weekend some time in late May or June. The breakfast in the morning was amazing! I liked the atmosphere of the place very much!!!. It was so nice and quiet, we stayed an additional day. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment with two kids. It was very large and great. Kitchen was nicely equipped and the rooms were great. Location is good to get to numerous Tuscan towns quickly. An exceptionally beautiful location, with several cottages set atop a hill overlooking rolling Tuscany landscape. Very tranquil and relaxing and yet within half an hour of San Giminiano and Siena. Florence is also easily within reach by the autostrada. Excellent restaurant food, excellent service from friendly hosts, clean apartments, lovely setting and pool, spacious apartments. Very useful to have facilities to wash clothes, although each use of the machine was 5 euro - expensive!. Overall amazinggg (: lived Everything. Quiet location and picturesque scenes. Would definitely come back again. And it was a convenient town in tuscany for those driving to pisa as it is only an hour away. That we had to leave. It was very cold in the house when we just arrived there, no one explained us how to turn on the heating system, and thought about it only when we went to bed. So it took a while to heat the rooms to the normal temperature. GPS coordinates. Signs are good if you are looking for the Casa Bandini Restaurant located on site. I would recommend updating Booking with these coordinates (43.438313,11.14741). This is the best road to enter the dirt/gravel road to the hotel. We were there in low season and on the first night the restaurant was closed. But the manager on duty (and also the owners' son) helped us by recommending an excellent trattoria in Col val D'Elsa nearby. Terribly saggy, uncomfortable beds. Not possible to have a proper shower, as there was only a bath with a hand-held shower rose and no curtain or screen around the bath. All of the furniture was old/uncomfortable. The switch in one of our rooms kept tripping. Some matrasses had plastic on it, probably for urine protection for little childeren, but it caused me some sweathy nights. nothing. I wish they had regular white sheets instead of printed ones. I didn't think they were dirty, but I just like white sheets in lodgings. Towels and bedding felt wet, when we arrived batteries in the remotes were dead, so we had to find some of our own to turn the air conditioning on (no one at the reception after 7pm) no adapters for Italian power sockets, even a local coffee machine in our appartments lacked it, so ask for them when you check-in or bring your own. Noise from adjacent apartment. Bed too firm, restaurant prices very expensive. Washing machine was not in unit and charged. bathroom a bit damp and mouldy Linen a bit damp Sofa a bit old Living area v small and a bit depressing Unable to change dates even though asked right in the beginning and even paid for breakfast we didn't have.
