A lovely house in countryside. Very friendly atmosphere. We were late on arrival but the staff left us a note on a front door to ring the bell. So we woke the owner in the middle of the night and he was showing no signs of discontent. It's a nice stay also if you are making a trip by car to Rome and you don't want to stay in Rome's center. I've been to all kinds of hotels, very expensive ones and also hostles, so I've seen much of it. And I can't think of a single complaint.
all reviews » The breakfast was great. Lovely to sit outside in the sun, by the pool, and enjoy our cappucinos and delicious breakfast buffet. We were also offered an espresso on our way out. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The swimming pool is a great facility in the summer months. It is fabulous to come home from touring and be able to have a quick dip. Staff are very obliging and helpful. The location was good - walking distance to the funicular but with a countryside feel. Parking was easy. The room was large by budget standards. Not really a "didn't like" but directions would be useful on the website as the Villa is on a white road ie off the beaten track although close to the main road into town. The carpet was gritty and if you walk out, intending to come back after dark, bring a flashlight. Nothing at all. Nothing. AC a little weak. A bit dated. We felt that the hotel had been opened up just for our stay. Very difficult to find! We had G.P.s maps but the locasion was very confusing' and there werent enough signs to direct. We spent more then an hour finding/.
