La Villa Degli Argentieri is agreat friendly hotel with wonderfullystaff, it is the third year I have stayed there, and the first thingsaid to me when I arrived was "Welcome Home" and it felt like I hadarrived home. Normally I like big impersonal hotels, the one exceptionis the La Villa Degli Argentieri. An absolutely wonderful hotel. The staff is friendly and attentive. One of our rooms was great, the other very small so make sure you know what you will be getting. Well located on the beachfront in the new part of town to the north/west of the train station.

My wife commented several times on our 6 day stay about how hard the housekeeping staff was working on cleaning. The staff was exceptional during my stay. They quickly handled any request I had. The room was very clean and loaded with comforts (bidet, massaging jets in shower). I will stay there again!. The location was great, the breakfast was excellent, and the hotel was beautiful...I don't think there is a better place to stay in the Cinque Terre!. Loved meeting the owner... the hotel was in exceptional shape, beautifully remodeled and so very quaint.This place is very clean and has a great location for walking and exploring the Cinque Terre area. Convenient location and lovely breakfast.The location was wonderful. Close to parking (very rare in Cinque Terre), and the property was located away from most of the noise and foot traffic. There were great resturants nearby and a wonderful foccocirea right next door. Fantastic room with balcony overlooking the beach. Good sized room, a very nicely decorated bathroom, appeared to have been recently upgraded and had a hydro spa shower. Quite expensive but may be comparable to other hotel prices in Monterosso. Buffet breakfast was minimal, don't expect toast, bacon and eggs etc, traditional breakfast I believe with cold meats, cheese and pastries.very small room. Noise from hotel. could be noisey at times from staff gatherings. Our room was very small with he bed pushed up against the wall.We had asked for an ocean view which we got, however from the first floor our view was obstructed by trees. Room Price for size of room booked a bit disappointing however the location, decor and staff compensated that during our short stay.Bathrooms were a little cramped. Value for the money. One of the 2 rooms we booked was a single room (bed just big enough for2 at a squeeze) for a couple.We were told it was a standard double butclearly it wasnt. Moved for nights 2 and 3 but I expected a discount assome recognition of our disappointment.This hotel was expected to be oneof the highlights of our 5 week Europe travel. The view of the sea is accros a car park however it wasnt too bad. We looked out on a dirt parking lot which came before the lovely view of the water. The staff was efficient, but not friendly. The shower took some time to adjust the temperature of the water. Windows could not be opened fully because the of the drapes, and it was nice to hear the water at night. I was led to believe that the hotel was on the beach when infact it was not. Close but not on. it was expensive.
