La Casa was quite easy to find, the pathway being opposite the undercover public car park, and the mule track was really not that bad, so long as you pace yourself. The Cinque Terre is a very hilly region - you can't escape climbing hills. The staff at La Casa were very friendly and welcoming and the room spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Staying at La Casa is well worth the climb. The hostess, Maria was most helpful with information on the area and very hospitible offering us a home made limoncino when we enjoyed a dinner on the balcony one night. The hotel had under floor heating which was a complete luxury to us after coming from Tuscany where we had to pay for our air conditioning.

We had breakfast on a balcony overlooking Monterosso. Spectacular!. The owners are fine people. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The BandB is set in a beautiful location and I would definitely stay there again. The room has been refurbished to a very high standard and it is one of the best BandB's I've stayed in. Great breakfast too!. The hotel was very nice in every way. Everything was new and modern. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the owners were very friendly and helpful.Lovely serene environment, beautiful, nice to be up and away from the crowds. Good location, wonderful views, friendly owner. Don't be turned off by the 'climbing of the steps' to get to the room - it really is no big deal!. Extremely friendly staff who's helpful suggestion of the region and warm and generous hospitality really made our stay in the Cinque Terre a highlight. Maria (owner) its a wonderful person and her advices regarding restaurants, activities in the area etc were very helpful. Great service.Figuring out how to get into the public car park was our biggest challenge - you push the red button (that looks more like an emergency button) and take the green plastic token that is issued. It is located up a 50 metre steep path, but well worth the climb. (It separates you from the masses on a busy weekend) Otherwise access from the station is an easy 15 minute walk.The hotel is located at top of a a very steep hillside. This makes for great views, but it is not easy getting up there! From the road where the taxi drops you off, there are 80 "steps" up to the Casa. It's a little challenging making your way up and down. This is not a good option for travellers with physical limitations or travellers with excessive luggage!. the steep climb up to the hotel. Do not underestimate the stairs !! They are many and its hard to climb with suitcases or after a good Italian meal with wine... not charged correct price. Also, should have been told that to get to BandB, need to walk up several flights of stairs with luggage.Very expensive for the size and location of the room.
