Beautiful location and property. Exceptionally clean apartment. Stefania (the owner) was very professional, helpful and friendly. A bottle of wine was awaiting us in the apartment, and Stefania provided milk and orange juice in the refrigerator for us. This was a very nice touch and very much appreciated! We give our highest recommendation for both Montorio and the beautiful Montepulciano area!.
all reviews » Montorio was a perfect ending to our Italian holiday. The historic country house and its setting overlooking the San Biagio temple, the gracious owner, Stefania, the beautiful Tuscan views and proximity to the center of Montepulciano were all that we had hoped for. Our apartment was spacious and traditionally appointed, clean and even included tea, coffee and juice for us to begin our mornings. Stephania, the owner, was wonderful. We got lost and stopped at another hotel. They knew her, called her, and she came and guided us in. Best place we ever stayed in the region. FANTASTIC views and nice country setting. We also stayed at Villa Poggiano which is even better. Couldn't have asked for a better place for our 30th anniversary!. We stayed in a very pretty apartment in a refurbished old stone building just outside Montepulciano. Everything was clean, bathrooms were modern, and there was a laundry room (shared with other apartments). Views were gorgeous in all directions, and the owner was wonderful and helpful. Would stay here again in a minute. The Montorio is a dream Tuscan retreat. Easy to find on a hill at the foot of Montepulciano, it is in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We had a two bedroom apartment with a kitchen, it was great and the staff (Stefania) is wonderful. We strongly recommend this!. Spectacular view in amazing 13th century monastry. Beautifully rennoated in keeping with the architecture. Short walk to Montepulciano centre. Staff were amazing with so many tips and very helpful. Spotlessly clean. Montorio has a really good location just outside Montepulciano with great view of the church and countryside. Across from supermarket which makes it convenient for grocery shopping. Location location location. This was the perfect base for our series of local cycling trips. Stefania is fantastic, the supermarket is close by and the view is stunning. This is the most unusual property. A fantastic location with unequal views and close proximity to town. I didn't expect such a superb place...highly recommended. Montorio is amazing. We had such a relaxing time! Definiltey go for dinner at La Grotta down the road. Amazing Tuscan meal. I hope to go back!. This place is absolutely beautiful! the views are outstanding, and the sunsets are breathtaking. Wonderful accommodation in a stunning setting. Each apartment very individual. Our only complaint was that our stay was too short!. GPS isn't the greatest in the area for finding the hotel. The Garmin from Avis listed 12 options along the road. The letsbookhotel.com listing did not specify a 4-7pm check in time anywhere and she isn't there earlier for check-in. Nothing. We liked it all!. The walk up to Montepulciano could be difficult during the midday sun. None.
