The Hotel Residence Mendolita consists of small terraced-houses and is set in a peaceful area just 100m from the centre of Lipari and 300m from Portinente beach. The apartments are tastefully furnished with a small garden and a covered patio and can accommodate up to 6 people. There is also a cosy breakfast room and a Bar. Guests can use the hydromassage pool with hot spring water at the partner Hotel Tritone. During summer the hotel may only be bookable for long stays of 3 or more nights or for weekly stays, from Saturday to Saturday.

What people say

The breakfast was lovely, there was plenty on offer and they served til10am. It was also in a very good position to the main corso but farenough away to not to be in the main hub of noise all night. The bed wasvery comfortable too which is always good news. The decor could be updated - the room was a good size but was quitedark. The only other thing was when they cleaned the room each morning,they always left the inside door open. (I can't understand why).

The Residence

is situated in a quiet position in the middle of the green, a few minutes walk away from the center of Lipari. It features a group of small villas built in the islands typical style. It has a cosy breakfast room and a Bar. The well furnished apartments, have a small garden and covered patio and can accommodate up to five persons.

The 18 apartments

are nicely furnished and are composed of terrace - some with an own garden -, patio, bathroom with shower, kitchenette with fridge, satellite-tv, air conditioning, heating, telephone and safe.

Please note that guests need to collect an entry pass at reception, required to access the pool at Hotel Tritone. Access to the pool is subject to a mandatory purchase at the bar.

The closest ports are: Milazzo, Messina, Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Napoli.

- From Milazzo it takes one hour by hydrofoil or fast ferry. The normal ferry takes 2 hours.
- From Messina it takes 1.5 hours by hydrofoil.
- From Reggio Calabria it takes 2 hours by hydrofoil.
- From Palermo it takes 3 hours by hydrofoil.
- From Napoli it takes 4 hours by hydrofoil and fast ferry. The normal ferry takes 9 hours.
