Offering a terrace with sun loungers overlooking the Gulf of Naples, this B&B is set inside Mount Vesuvius National Park. It features a free shared kitchen and wine cellar. B&B Fuocomuorto is just off the A3 motorway and 5 minutes' drive from Ercolano Scavi Station, with trains to Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento. Guests can rent an electric bike to explore the surroundings. Fuocomuorto is composed of 3 buildings, some dating back to the 1700s and 1800s, all with red exteriors. Rooms are air conditioned and come with free Wi-Fi and wood floors. Breakfast is served each morning and guests will also find a wood-burning oven and a wine cellar built in the lava rock. Wine is produced and sold on site and free parking is provided. Electric bikes to explore Mount Vesuvius and Ercolano ruins, respectively 8 and 3 km away, can be rented on site.

Great place to stay if you want to be away from the craziness and noise of the city but with easy access to Mt Vesuvius, Herculaneum, Pompeii, and Naples. The property is on a small, narrow, paved road on the slopes of Mt Vesuvius, just outside the town of Ercolano. Both the highway and the train station are just a km or so from the B&B. If you don't have a car, either Alessandra or Vincenzo (the owners) may come get you at the train station. If you do have a car, they provide secure parkin.
all reviews » We had an absolutely lovely time here. As everyone says, the owners are so nice and try so hard to make your stay the best. They even gave us an umbrella and extra towels for the beach (Go to Meta! Abt 30 mins away). The B&B is in an absolutely lovely location. The view is amazing. The pizza and olives are great! Having the kitchen and couch downstairs is great and really makes it more like home. Definitely book the superior. The rooms upstairs are small and you have to share a tiny bathroo. Lots:The owner & family, location, the huge freshly cooked pizza, they fed 2 of us for 20€ including large glasses of wine, their vineyard and explanation of the history, the succulent mulberries and lemons direct from the tree. Easy to get to Herculaneum, Vesuvius and Naples city, Fabulous views across Naples Bay. Peaceful and quiet. This is a real gem of a place, slightly off the beaten track but with everything you need and close enough to everything you might want to visit. Owners speak English, they are really helpful in terms of local POI's - where to go and how to find (that's very important in Italy as there is no official info in any language except Italian). They're doing their best to satisfy guests. The location is great if you have a car. We've got a big room with a balcony and a terrific view on the mountains. Breakfast - they just asked us what we prefer and followed our demands. Just as all the reviews we've read - the hosts were lovely and helpful, and the whole atmosphere was of a country-side house, really nice, clean, and warm. The kitchen was much more equipped than we expected, and we used it to prepare our meals. The house itself is very close to Ercolano ruins (as well as Vesuvius). There are excellent signs on the road pointing the way. Very friendly family. Only Person who speaks a little English is Maria, so ask for her, she will help you. I had a very calm stay there. The family will help you by everything. Great view on the Gulf of Neapel. Maybe I´ll be back if its necessary to stay one more night in bella Napoli. It is located just in the base of Vesuvio. Easy access. The owners received us very well and were always worried in make us confortable. Very good reception and food. I strongly recommend to try the pizza with wine, which is served in the dinner. Perfect!. Alessandra and Vincenzo were very friendly and accommodating, giving me rides to the train station and helping me with my luggage. Delicious pizza served under a pergola of grapevines. Great views from the terrace, and comfy accommodations. Everything perfectly worked out!! Quite and green location, perfect to hiking Vulcano Vesuvius and not that far from Naples city center as well. Breathtaking view of Naples's golf in the night. La situazione nel cuore d'un vignetto, con ottimo vino, e la prossimita relativa a Herculano scavi (the location in the heart of a vineyard, which produces excellent wine, and the relative proximity to the Herculaneum ruins). Lovely host family. Extremely helpful. Very interesting to be staying in a vinyard with own production of wine, dating back to 1786! A bit difficult to find, but a charming location with good view of the sea. It is a small family run establishment,and members of their family were all very welcoming. It is also situated in a vineyard which the owner makes wine from, so wine tasting is certainly a possibility. This accomodation was really great, for its location under the Vesuvio, friendly staff and delicious wine from own wine cellar. Incredibly friendly hosts. Vincenzo gave a tour of his family's wine cellar, which has been in the family for 200 years. The owners are very nice and friendly and the wine cellar is something special that worth to be visited. People is firendly. Located very close to Ercolano ruins. You can learn how wine is produced. We stayed in the upstairs double. We recommend the superior double downstairs. The upstairs double doesn't have an in-suite bathroom and it is shared with the single room. The bathroom is very small and when we were ther the toilet leaked and you could smell sewer gas. The owners said they were going to have it fixed after we left. Still, we recommend the downstairs double. The wifi is not working in the rooms. We had to go downstairs. However, the wifi downstairs is the fastest that we encountered in Italy! There was a bit of confusion about our booking. I had emailed ahead to confirm that they could accommodate us. We were given the all clear but it turns out that it was definitely tighter than we were expecting. I think this was due to loss in translation though. We had a bit of a problem with the local sign posts which make it hard to find and our sat nat. struggled.Cannot criticise anything about the hotel, room, food or location. You have to share the bathroom with an another person if one is having the other room of the appartmenthouse. But thats not real a problem. located slightly too far from the train station to walk, but the owner gave me a ride to the nearest station so problem was solved. The breakfast could have been a little better. You can hear every single sound from the upper floor, every step, water flush, talking, movements on the bed, etc. Absolutely impossible to sleep at night!. We slept in a room located in 1st floor. The ceiling was black due to significant humidity signals. Toilet was not acceptable from my point of view (extremely small and not good smell). The breakfast consits in some industrial bakery pieces that you have to take by yourself from the fridge (no service). The privacy is compromised if somebody is sleeping in the room located in the groud floor because our toilet was in the corridor. I cannot recommend it.
