The staff was super friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast,
although Italian style, was still way better then what we expected,
different sorts of tasty cake, croissants and the best panettone we ever
had! The room was neat, spacious and had a luxury feel. It is definitely
more then a 2 star hotel!.
The owner was extremely kind and helpful, the place was so beautiful, the hotel was- a real value for money -clean and nice, it is definetely a lot more than 2 stars hotel, it was all that we needed!!!

friendly staff, simple but tasty continental breakfast, only about 20 minutes drive from Abetone ski lifts. Set in ample grounds away from main road next to river, therefore peaceful and pleasant surroundings.
Beauty and quiet.
The location could be a little better, depending on what are you
planning to do. For us it worked, the hotel is around 10 km from Abetone
ski slopes, which is fine, but it is quite far (long, uphill walk) from
the actual town of Cutigliano.

Villa Basilewsky was erected as a holiday home for the Russian princess Olga Basilewsky, following the plan of the versatile architect Vincenzo Govigli. The three-storey building is embellished with pointed arched windows on the first floor and rounded arched windows on the second. The restoration of the villa was a long and complex process, lasting more than three years. The ceilings supported by enormous chestnut beams, staircases sculpted by hand, and 16th century capitals in the restaurant have been returned to their original beauty.
The villa fronts a 17,000 square meter park that stretches to the Ximeniano Bridge on the Sestaione.
