This was the highlight of our six weeks in Europe, made so by the people that own and run this hotel. We might be stretching it saying that it is 3 stars however rarely will you find such hospitable people. The Casselle area is close to the airport / Trurin and has great little places to eat if you want something other than what is on offer at the hotel. Listen for some of Vincenzo's clasic statements...you will love it.
all reviews » We wanted a hotel close to the airport and this was an excellent location. It took just 11 euros in cab to get to the airport. There is train also that runs to Turin Dora if you want to get to the city center. Will have to take another bus. This is also not too far from the Turin Porta Nouva train station about 30 euros for the cab. Its possible to get here by Sadem bus or train but we had too much luggage. Exellent and helpful stuff. Hotel is located in a very niva and peaceful suburb, close to the airport (2/5 minutes by train/bus). Room is OK. If travel by car, there are no problem to get to the city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food very good . location close to airport. Convenience to the airport. I did eat in the dining room and must say I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and wine. It was all a great bang for the buck and quite good. It was close to Turin airport and the room was clean. Don't let the proximity of the flight path nor the air con being turned off in the early hours deter you it is all part of the experinece that is Vincenzo's Il Sole. There is not much in the neighborhood but people are nice and friendly. If you want entartainments close to the hotel it is better to choose hotel somewhere in city centre because there is a cpecial shedule for trains and buses from suburb to the city. n.a. It advertises Wi-Fi, but only if you sit in front of the modem in the lobby. Hand held shower was in the floor because the hook was broken. The bed light did not work. I like the company of a tv and the one in the room was about a 10" and did not work. Old building, to reach the room had to go out of the building across the road with no lift, bedroom all painted in dark red, TV barely functioning, breakfast was poor, for the same daily rate you get excellent quality at other places such as Hokiday Inn Express. It was not a 3 star hotel, it was a 3rd rate hotel. I felt cheated. Internet doesn't, work Free breakfast was a joke. It was the worst experience of my life.
