Comfortable room with a GORGEOUS patio with an incredible view. A lovely property...a bit "tired" but we were among first visitors of the season and it will certainly be "spruced" up, I'm sure as spring progresses. The pool wasn't open as it was still very cool, but it was huge and beautiful as were the grounds. The hotel was a grand old hotel; the terrace and lobby and breakfast were spectacular!! As an older, historic hotel, it is not as clean and new as your run-of-the mill hilton back in the States, but if you are looking for old glamour and charm at a great value, this is a fabulous spot on the island of Capri.

Our room was a sea view suite with two balconies and our own elevator. Amazing. There is a free shuttle that picks you right up from the port upon arrival in Capri. The whole experience in The San Michelle Hotel was fantastic. Very atmospheric staying in such a beautiful place with amazing views, the style of the hotel was just what we like, classy, stylish & sophisticated. We would definately come again and have already recommended to friends. The view! Unbelievable and spectacular. Staff is very helpful. Don't forget that you will have a free transfer to the port Maria Grande after check out. Swimming pool is not overcrowded and fresh) and again The view from the breakfast room and the terrace just breathtaking!!. The best location on the Island with amazing views over the harbor area and sea. Beautiful interior, reception area ect. The hotel is in close proximity to the busstop, supermarket and the shopping centre. It is a short walk. Well decorated and maintained hotel. But the view from the breakfast room is so nice, you forget the food is just so so. Anacapri is a very quiet town, if you are looking for a crowds and many restaurants you'd better live in Capri town. Hotel not wel maintained, found leaks, outside needs a paint. Wifi was a disaster. Nothing, everything was very good. Only small issue was one of the staff at the front desk knew very very little English. No English TV channels. That we couldn't stay longer!. the food needs upgrading although breakfast was fine. The rooms and airconditioner needs upgrading. did not like the poolview very noise towards the road. The room was a little warm at night. Too large of a bathtub in relation to the shower. No Irons in the rooms or at the facility. Shuttle needed to run more often to town. Food wasn't great. Maybe just unlucky with the lunch and dinner we had. That I could not get cash at the hotel. Dinning room was sparse. nothing. They ask for preapproval on your cc 3 days before the arrival stopping you from using these money even if "booking" says no deposit needed. could have been cleaner is an old fashioned builidng.
