I travel for a living and I am sick of the standard hi-rise hotels. I was so please to find a wonderful alternative, Eden House. I cannot say enough about the Eden House properties. I have now stayed at all three "houses", and I can honestly say that each is wonderful, with its own unique character. The location is great too, in the old Yemenite section of Tel Aviv, with small winding streets, wonderful ethnic restaurants and a neighborhood feel. It is also very close to the outdoor Carmel.
all reviews » Quite extraordinary place, situated in the heart of the most beautiful district of Tel-Aviv - Kerem Ha-Teimanim. The design of the rooms is outstanding - you just have to see it! And you get even more, if you do not forget to explore the wonderful lounge terrace at the roof. We were sitting there with our notebook, drinking tea with strawberries and feeling like being at home... While in Eden House TLV you can get your breakfast in Eden Premier luxurious building: your morning food (for very re. Sipping "hand made" jasmine tea in the cosy, very small dining room I could enjoy the sight of a baroque framed, huge painting representing Serge and Michael, the founders, dressed in velvet suits and with silk bows - and at the same time chat with the same Serge (now in jeans and sweater), who just had made the tea. And in the afternoon say hello to hard working, friendly waiter Ruth having a smoking break on the doorsteps, discussing food with the chef. And whenever: ask Adrian or some other . I had a huge room all to myself in the guest house that came with a nice kitchenette and dining room table. The location was amazing and I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see. Also, the bistro has amazing breakfasts if you can get a seat. I really liked the extra perks that don't get mentioned as often like the free wifi in the room, the free beach towels to use for the day, and the fact that they let me leave my bag with them all day after I checked out because of my late flight. It was absolutely great for the type of hotel we wanted in Tel Aviv - excellent unique location, nice staff, pleasant surroundings, great advice when you needed it. When I had a complaint about how my breakfast (blini) was prepared because of an overwhelmed kitchen, they took off the charge no questions asked, and were willing to comp me another breakfast the next day. We couldn't take advantage, but the offer epitomizes fantastic customer-centric service. Location is very good, near to beaches, near to Jaffa. Neighbourhood is safe and cool. Staff at the reception is very very helpful and pleasant. Main house is very boutiqe-like and beautiful. It was overall a good experience and good start to our first Israeli trip. It was a good place to stay for family of five, who didn't look for luxury but didn't want to stay at the hostel either. This is one of the most beautiful place to sleep I have never been: gorgeous ambiance in the rooms, it look like you would be in a very romantic and tasteful bourgeois room of the nineteen century. Our room was beyond small; it was so small both of us had to climb into the bed from the same side. Shower was the smallest I've ever used. 1-We stayed not in the same building of the reception. There is not a reception in our building. 2- Too much stairs, no elevator. You Have to carry the luggage. The room was very different rispect to the Hotel, but it was clear that it would be a dependance. We had to make our bed. Stairs up to the apartment made me nervous; location while close to beach is in very old neighbourhood. Nothing. Poor batroom mixed with wc. ...wifi conection because of the storm. Hard to find...need better drivinginstructions. Our room had unfortunately a wet wall so there was also a very strong smell Cleaning staff was very annouing in the morning. The bed is not comfortable and the bed is too small for two people. My back ached after the first night and I even did not want to sleep on that bed anther night. The room was very small. I don't know how the other appartments are but ours (not in the main hotel building) was half-bunker, incl. the tiny terrasse below ground level. Tiny bathroom with shower room producing moisture and mould in the badly-ventilated room underneath. It was noisy at night, some music would be to hear from our neigbors. very small apartment. Only one key. The apartment did not have enough comfortable seating. Unfortunately some of the rooms have access on to a shared courtyard, so our room (no 30) had no privacy. Also our ensuite bathroom was tiny. Broken and filthy coffee mug, and dirty plate with crumbs in room. Faulty light bulb (only one worked) Dreamy girl at reception who replaced broken mug with glass beaker (useless for coffee), and made no attempt to remedy dirty plate or faulty light bulb. Tiny room. Being charged 7 gbp more than stated on the website when booking. The owner a guy with red hair was the rudiest most aggressive man I have ever meet. Ripped me off for 77 dollars for an early check in even after being promised it was free. Misleading description Rooms poor Bad area. Staff is extremely unfriendly.
