This hotel has quiet, spacious rooms with relaxing decor. The Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They cater very well for guests on a gluten free diet.The food is very good and it's a beautiful venue for a wedding, Christening or indeed any group gathering or just a couple The grounds are beautiful and the views wonderful. It is close to the town of Clonakility which is a lovely place to browse with some wonderful pubs and restaurants.There are beaches close by. all reviews »
Loved the friendly atmosphere, the staff were very helpful and were always on the go.. they give a great energy to the place.. Food was tasty and the breakfast was Amazing from the point of view i was doing a marathon.. fruit Museli and Homemade granola and yougart etc.. Definetly will be staying there again and telling my friends about it!!.
Very well run hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Our room was beautifully furnished and the bathroom was luxurious. We ordered room service for our breakfast which was no problem even though we left it until the last minute. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Fantastic value for money!.
We stayed there for 2 nights doing 2 marathons in 2 days. There was no problem with earlier breakfast on both days and late check-out on Sun. We could take a shower after the marathon and pack ourselves. The staff was very friendly. If we come back next year we'll definitely stay in this hotel.
Stayed one night. Family run hotel.Very clean with excellent service..Weddings appear to be their speciality with beautiful gardens and a marquee to hold a drinks receptions. Good breakfast, plenty choices.. Could not fault anything.
The place is in a good position if you are driving, at a kilometer or so from the city center.
The hotel is brand new and stylish. Everything was very clean and the staff was friendly and supportive.

When in West Cork we always stay at Fernhill. It is a lovely family run hotel & the welcome is friendly & helpful. The breakfast is the best with plenty of choices. The grounds & gardens are lovely & peaceful.

The first morning at breakfast since I don't eat the full Irish I was wondering if I could possibly have pancakes. Unfortunately the answer from the kitchen was no. That evening after dinner I inquired from our lovely waitress if I could please put In a request for pancakes in the morning. Sadly in the morning no pancakes.

least 20 minute walk or taxi ride which takes a while to get hold of.

Our room was very disappointing. Small, cramped, small bed, no view just looking out over the roof to a wall and there were two large extractor fans outside the window which made a lot of noise all day and night as well as making the room smell badly of food. Breakfast was also disappointing.
Did not sleep at all for the time i was there as the mattress was very poor quality.this in turn ruined the rest of my trip.ordered breakfast in bed on last morning.it was 30 mins late and eventually had to go looking for it which ruined that too.
