Good value for money (by Bali standards), good location, nice comfortable rooms, staff helpful and attentive, pool pretty good. To expand on a few points above: I REALLY don't think Bali is the sort of place you need to worry about a hotel being in a good location. As long as you are away from the scum of Kuta, its all good. Mostly because everything is spread out so even if you think your hotel is in the best spot one day, the next day when you want to go somewhere else, you will still have t.

We had actually booked this resort for a day. but then we liked the location and comfort in this place so we extended the stay here for one more day. It was so relaxing and staff was so helpful and warm that we extended the stay for the third day as well . This time we upgraded to there private villa.The quality of service and amenities were good. We were surprised when we saw iPod dock station in villa. overall a very nice experience. If i ever come t. I am probably used to a little more luxury but really it is a nice friendly little hotel in a very good location. The rooms are very spacious and the bed was huge and very comfortable.I feel it is a little tired and the rooms need freshening up with some paint, something white to brighten them up, they are a bit dark inside. The white linen was nice. The day spa is very nice and clean at Mutiara and all the treatments we had were lovely. Very clean and spacious. pool is to die for. service great. Beautiful staff, nothing is a bother for them. Quite location yet only a block away from eat street in seminyak. Paradise to return to after walking the busy streets. Breakfast is ok. One morning at around 430am, a group of people came back to the hotel drunk and decided to jump around the pool for an hour and be noisy. In the morning children got up early (6-7am) and played around in the pool too.. because of both of these things I would recommend you pick a room AWAY from the pool. Private pool in villa was not properly cleaned. However i do not blame them as it was quite windy and it was raining there. Breakfast was awful. The only thing I think that could be improved is the location of the Spa. While having a lovely massage, I was distracted by screaming children in the pool. Our mattress unfortunately had seen better days and had no oomph to it.On a hard base you need a good mattress.The spa prices were higher than a flas resort we had stayed at. Not enough power points in room. Limited choice of beverage. The only thing I wasn't overly fond of were the breakfasts. I think they could try real hash Browns rather than ju a y mashed Potatoe. Also the nibbles we got on arrival were a little over done. So perhaps the food could be better. Breakfast is not the greatest. But it s included in the price, so... The roads to get to the beach and shopping do not have footpaths which can be a bit scary at night. The towels need to be replaced as a bit worn and grey however all other linen is good. Nothing really not to like about the hotel - it was more the area of Seminyak. Lots of good restaurants and lots of shops - but the condition of the main street of Seminyak was generally disappointing. Busy traffic, poor footpaths - but I guess that's what you get in Bali. Was expecting a little more from Seminyak though. Nothing. The fact that I thought I was booking a more modern villa as was in the photos but got an older villa. Wifi password only valid for 24 hrs, have to request from counter and reset the password, not user friendly. Narrow badly maintained street to resort if walking. The building works across from the hotel. However, construction is happening all over Bali. The villa was very private so it didn't bother us too much, we switched off to it. A bit over priced, breakfast is so so. you will expect more buffet breakfast for that price. Rooms need refurbishment. My only complaint was that the WIFI was poor. Kept dropping. Breakfast. The booking process was confusing. On letsbookhotel.com the bedding options were for "2 Single, 2 Large Double" - but when we confirmed directly with the hotel they said that we were given "2 king beds". This was unacceptable as we were travelling with a group of friends. We had to pay an extra 200,000 rupiahs per night for an extra bed!. Rooms are a bit old. We felt the pool area lacked a bit of atmosphere. No drink or lunch service. Hotel very quiet. The breakfast was nice, but not a buffet which we prefer. We thought the hotel was a little overpriced and we didnt like the fact they charged our credit card for the full amount 5 months before we stayed there, with no refund. Be careful walking near the hotel at night. My wife had a lucky escape when she stepped into a ditch in the dark, thinking it was the footpath. Except for the reception, staff were not very friendly, the staff at the restaurant seemed clueless as they speak very much English, bed was hard and could feel the springs, room seems a tad bit old for the USD90 room rate.
