There was so much to like! The location was excellent. So close to all our favourite restaurants and shops, so didn't have to sit in traffic for ages and also away from traffic noise, tucked away in a quiet area off Sunset Road. The staff were delightful. The villas were exceptional value for money. The pool is cool and refreshing and the setting is tropically beautiful. Yes there are mosquitoes and some of the rooms too dark and they do not have ice, but value for money is outstanding. The gar.
all reviews » The place is amazing. A little difficult to find, but when you get there you really start enjoying. The garden is enormous, with palm trees, lots of green and places to rest. The pool is very beautiful and inspiring, good place to start or end the day. The room was huge and very comfortable, like a little palace, outstanding bed. Separate bathroom, but also private for you, it was open on the back so plenty of mosquitoes, frogs or spiders came in, but no big deal. The tub was amazing, quite bar. Pretty much everything! This place truly is a hidden paradise....one would not know that just set back a little from a small and rather busy laneway this beautiful accomodation could exist. The manager, Wahab, was very helpful and friendly.... helping to arrange an in-room massage (divine), order meals, and organize travel. We truly felt looked after.Our room was very large and clean situated amidst a beautiful and spacious garden and relaxation area. Air-con worked great. The traditional deco. the villas were huge with an extra king size double bed in my villa. excellent value for money. gardens grounds and the pool were kept in excellent condition and were delghtful. taxis were arranged by the manager and were economic and punctual. the villas provie a small map on your arrival and it is essential to take this with you to assist taxi drivers with directions. Beautiful would stay again. Relaxing but suits the do it youself traveler that like eating at warungs(I think is the best food). Lovely but wont suit ppl that have not traveled before. We felt like we the only ones there which I really liked. Incredible good!! The owners are very friendly and helpfull. The room was fabulous, just perfect! The bathroom also. The pictures don't lie. I'll recommend this place absolutely! Its a bit out of the crowd, we liked that. -beautiful garden and pool -large house -price was ok -nice staff which drove us to beach, for free. It was for real "Traditional Indonesian Hidden Paradise"!!!. Huge bungalows, nice garden & pool. Not much to complain about at all. Mosquitoes so we bought some extra spray. Some of the rooms dark so will bring a light from home. No big deal. Can't wait to return. The situation is a little far away from the places, so basically you need a bike for almost everything (or walk 15 minutes to the nearest restaurant). The staff was never in the reception, and they weren't very helpfull, maybe because it was low season... Whilst the accomodation itself was great, I don't think that Seminyak is for me personally. T'was a bit too busy once outside the door and not really a lot to see culturally in the town itself. school located beside the resort was quite noisy all day commencing around 7.00am monday thru saturday. meals which are brought in from a nearby restaurant were just average and generally cold. we knew we were nowhere near a beach however we thought we could take a couple of walks which we were unable to do as there was nothing of interest to walk to. Hardish to find. Communication not great. Part time receiption but that been said the dude that is there is excellent . Hidden paradise is it name and rightly so. It suited me. Nothing. The only little thing is a bit background noise of a school. - a little bite fare from the beach, 20 min walking. Breakfast,lunch,dinner only with delivery. There was a problem with the hot water in the shower. Every time you had a shower the electricity hit you !. Most of the time reception wasn't covered. No hot water for shower.
