Was a very comfortable room with a good bed and an air conditioner, nice bathroom with so many towels - two for each person. The beach is not so far. We stayed at this hotel just for one night and didn't have time to try and enjoy the swimming pool. Though we enjoyed a lot the hospitality and kindness of the hotel owner. Thanks him very much for his help!. Pretty, clean rooms in Bali style. Sunhouse only has a few rooms which makes it very cozy. It is situated next to a busy road, although we didnt hear that much noise. The beach is only a 10 minute walk. We would recommend to rent the available bikes and go to have dinner at the night market in the evening! We would defenitely recommend Sunhouse!.
all reviews » We stayed at Sun Guesthouse for the final 3 days of our Bali vacation. It is really god value of well maintained rooms, location and helpful owners and staff, whom will happily give you info about surroundings, hints of good restaurants even help you to hire a motorbike to a rate for locals. We would definitely go there back. The rooms are very clean, quiet. It's a nice and beautiful place, the swimming-pool is not big but still okay and cute. The location is very close to the beach (5mn walk) and to the center of Sanur (Danau Tamblingan). The staff is friendly. There is no breakfast but free and unlimited tea and coffee. -The staff was ever so friendly -always had a smile on their face. - Really pretty traditional guesthouse. -Although not big, the pool was nice to have a dip in at the end of the day. -Short walk to Sanur beach, shops and restaurants. -Free drinking water was much appreciated. -WiFi worked well. SunHouse Guesthouse welcomed us friendly and wholeheartedly, and the rooms were ready before time and well-equipped with TV, DVD, airco and in my case also a little fridge. Location is just outside the main shopping street of Sanur, but still easily within walking distance. Long way from supermarket (fruits are avaliable only there). The mechanical closing mechanism for the gate to the compound. Nothing. needs a bigger sign was hard to find at first... but this is also a plus as it only houses a few guests and is hidden away. Didn't get shown around, so wasn't quite sure about the community kitchen therefore did not use it. We had a table and chairs right outside our room, other guests were up until 2am one night and we could hear everything plus the light was on! Only two sun beds seems a bit silly and can be a bit awkward. Small room, so the cool air from air conditioning was directly falling on the bed. Also it was hard to open suitcases on the floor. The hotel is situated just near the road so there is a noise from motorbikes and cars but at night traffic is not intensive. No breakfast. no breakfast and wifi doesn't work in the late evening. Being on a T intersection it was a bit noisier than we imagined but not unbearable. We came with a 3-year old child and the room and common area were too small for us. It is a perfect place for young couples, but kids need more space to run around. Also our room had a glass wall, so we felt like in a aquarium. Minor problems : no shutters and the curtain allow the sun to enter early in the morning, toilet not flushing properly... The hotel is situated on a road a little bit busy, so it's not really quiet. But it's like that for many hotels in Bali because of the number of motorbikes and the frequent usage of the horn !. Nothing, it was all good. Small swimming pool with questionable water. Tables in courtyard and all rooms face courtyard, so if people are hanging out and talking or smoking at the tables, you hear (or smell) them from your room. A bit far to walk to the main area of shops and cafes in Sanur, but an easy and cheap taxi ride. Also room curtains not too private. No food or beverage available, lack of information provided about self service facilities. Nothing to complain about at all. A suggestion might be to have some above pool shade to keep the pool cool. Lots of mosquitoes but room is equipped with electrical mosquito repellent device. Located just beside a street which is pretty noisy from the motorbikes drove by at night. some traffic noise during the day. difficult to find sign is faded. If you have any problems to sleep with light, this is the wrong place for you. The curtains are really transparent, too much light enters the room and I got the impression that other people outside the room could look into my room. The rooms have no privacy and have too much light. Away from the center for those who want to walk. The road bit dark need more light to walk at night near the sunhouse guesthouse.
