We absolutely loved staying here. The staff were all incredibly friendly - it had the most informal atmosphere of all the places we stayed during our honeymoon to Bali and the Gili Islands and it was all the better for it. The managers Georgie and Baz are incredibly nice and warm people and really made us welcome straight away. The house keeping team (with a special shout out for Harry, Sabit, Wadi and Musaha who taught us some indonesian!) were also brilliant. Pondok Santi is quite an unusual.
all reviews » Pondok Santi is just amazing. This review won't do it justice! The location is fantastic as it is out of the main strip but walking distance to most attractions. It is also a 5 min walk from Pearl Beach Lounge which is a great place for a meal or drinks by the beach. The bungalows are beautiful and comfortable, and the outdoor bathroom is a real treat. Not dark or damp like some of the others I've seen on Bali. The grounds are huge and it's a real luxury to have all that space to wander, or jus. Our stay at Pondok Santi was very memorable. All of our family member love this place so much. We like the private beach, it has white sands and clear beach with superb view of mountain in the background. We love the coconut plantation with the swing. My kids love the swing, very special swing probably with 30 meter high. The gardens is huge, we play soccer and many thing. Like is so much. We also like the open and large bathroom, great feeling and very enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent f. Everything! This is the place to stay in Gili T if you are a couple! Beautifull bungalows, surrounded by coconut trees, with nothing but green grass, hammocks and the occasional frog to keep you company. No swimming pool, bar or loud music to get in the way of your thoughts. It's close enough to the action (5-10min very enjoyable bike ride to the market), but far enough to be quiet and relaxed. Great breakfast. Super clean rooms, with beautifull open-air bathrooms. Friendly and eficient staff. The welcome was wonderful. Greeted with fresh juice and a cool towel. Bungalows are lovely, everything you need, but far enough away from the noise of Gili T. We were given use of bikes to get around the island. Breakfast was superb, good choices, but I never strayed from the amazing banana pancakes. Lovely private beach, although there is alot of coral and makes swimming difficult. Highly recommended beach retreat!. The setting was beautiful, the accommodation extremely luxurious, the atmosphere was so relaxing and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, Georgie and Baz were wonderful hosts and have created just the most special place to stay on a really wonderful island an absolute must in life is to go to Gili Trawangan and to stay at Pondok Santi. We look forward to staying again one day. Best hotel on Gili T, hands down. Stunning grounds, nice rooms, great shower, very friendly staff, good breakfast and a great location a little outside the busy streets of 'downtown' Gili T, but still easily accessible by bike. The staff is very kind and professional did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Pondoksanti estate is amazing friendly staff and beautiful location highly recommended. the bungalows are very comfortable and well decorated and the green space is huge in the hotel which makes the atmosphere very relaxed and insipring. Staff is also very friendly. There isn't anything I didn't like about Pondok Santi. Our stay was too short :(. Room gets a little hot as AC can't work properly due to the 'open air' design of the rooms. Hotel beach is beautiful but a little rocky (chorals), pool coming soon though. Nothing!. The bungalow could benefit from more places to dry wet clothes (I.E. hooks, drying rods). Like so many places in Indonesia, the beaches are covered in washed-up trash. Power outages. Not value for money It's too expensive for not having a restaurant, a pool or beach facilities such as shower or bar. I have stayed in hotels with the same price range that offered much more value.
