Amazing staff, flowers and welcome drink on arrival. All the staff was smiling and polite. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and you could really feel connected to nature. Loved the small geckos running around the ceiling. Funny little creatures. The restaurant is overhanging the Indian Ocean so you can admire the sunset over the waves while having dinner. Just amazing. Would return any time. Oh, and the free daily activities. Check it out at reception.
all reviews » Beautiful resort with excellent service from these Balinese staff: Suwella at reception, Pasek, Febri, Sari, Tira, Edi in the restaurant and Punar who took us on the country walk. Many more who were friendly and helpful. Good clean accomodation in beautiful surroundings. Cocktails by the pool, under palm trees with a seaview made it all perfect. Rama Candidasa is for me one of the best Resort in Bali, it´s already the second time i stayed there, and i will return for sure. I know several other hotels/Resorts in Bali and believe me, Rama have outstanding performance in cleaning and reception and it´s beautiful the view. The food is great by the way. thanks for all. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The floral leis and welcome drink upon arrival. The proximity to and view of the ocean from the restaurant. The magnificent buffet breakfasts. The free and pay-as-you-go activities available. We did the free early morning 1 1/2 hour rice paddy, temple, farm walk with commentary!. I liked design of the place, intimacy and different activities provided by the hotel free of charge (walk through the rice fields, yoga class, a lesson of balinese massage), lovely sea view, delightful garden, delicious breakfast. We had a sea view room and it was excellent. The hotel menu had a variety of dishes and was very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is beautifully located at the sea. friendly staff, tasty breakfast. Loved the pool. This hotel is in a very quiet location. The bathroom was a bit outdated but nothing to worry about. To use the WiFi Internet, we had to ask reception for a code every day. The code was valid for 12 hours. But you are not coming to Bali to sit on your computer, surly... No beach. Everything was perfect. Nothing to declare. People allowed to smoke in restaurant. No real "beach' to speak of. A bit of an aged feel to some parts. Prices at the restaurant were rather high and there is little to do outside the hotel if you want to go for a evening walk fore example. There were 62 steps from ground level up to our 'superior' room (we are75 and 76 years old.) Rooms are a bit dated and our small balcony was not private from neighbouring balconies. Our room did not overlook either the sea or the pool but the mountain view was good. The main problem was the 62 steps climb to the room. The spa was good but expensive. There was a strong smell of diesel fuel in the room. There is no beach at the town. Dinner buffet was only ok for a high price. We had much better hotels for less. The shuttle service into Candidasa was very limited to a couple of hours in the morning. A more flexible service would have been appreciated. The need to get a new password each time I wanted internet access for emails. Foods n drinks are so expensive. Food was a bit average. very far from airport:). Cockroach in the bathroom and lizards in the bedroom. The lizards kept coming into the room after we had them removed. At nighttime, they screamed like hell, which was not very comforting. mold smell in the room, dirty pool, cocks were shouting all nights long, old equipment in the room, price is too high. Had to walk up 4 flight of stairs as their deluxe room they assigned me was on the 4th floor with no lifts!! Definitely a big negative!. Unfortunately this hotel is old, tired and not up to the standards that are expected today. The room smelt of mould and the facilities are in need of much improvement. The reviews that I read were misleading to say the least. I booked and paid for 15 days, but stayed only one. Say no more.
