Excellent value for money. Clean rooms with nice bathrooms. The shower cubicle even has a rain shower. All the basic amenities are provided. The food at the roof top restaurant is excellent, although a little over priced. Friendly F&B staff. Perfect for a budget traveler looking for clean and comfortable hotel. Fits international 3 star hotel standards. Rooms were clean staff was friendly the location of the hotel was good rooms were big enough the attached toilet had a very good shower (hot and cold water) Suggestion Breakfast needs to be changed every day (not to be the same everyday), The hotel has Free Wifi but needs to be upgraded so that the guest can use it.
all reviews » People are really nice, i've stay in private room, it's big enought for a couple. The a/c works ok. The guys from the reception got me a ticket for jodhpur-that was great cause i've spend 3h on the railway waiting for tickets without getting it. The Fort view is from a interresting perspetive. The clean, modern hotel room in Pagar Ganj makes the Grand Godwin a much welcomed oasis. The excellent hot showers are worth the room price alone, but the large comfy bed/pillows, stocked bar fridge, kettle, good wifi, cable tv, room service, laundry, kettle, newspapers etc seal the deal. Great value for your money. Our rooms were clean, quiet, the restaurant's food was delicious, and the hotel provided very good service. The bellhop went with us several times next door to help my friend and I get sim cards, which is a bit of an event in India :-p. Almost perfect! Localisation, cleanness, staff, just everything except internet was great! Rooms are beautiful and worth the cost. Restaurant is just splendid! At the rooftop with fantastic view. I'll visit this place again for sure!. Grand Godwin is pretty swank in general, at a very affordable price! Everything is top notch, modern and the staff are super friendly. Staff were very willing to help and prompt to calls and requests. Hotel Grand Godwin is a modern structure 10 minutes walking from New Delhi railways. Our room was confortable, modern, with all the normal standards : TV, air conditioning, nice big bed, desk. The bathroom was nice and confortable, overall the "italian" shower which was really amazing. Good price. Free pick-up is nice. The hotel is really central and within easy access of main sites. It's also within walking distance to the train station. Most of the staff were helpful and courteous. The restaurant food was really good and flavoursome. We had to call several times to get things like extra bedding and towels. Nothing to say except not very good internet connection. Be careful of the tour operators and managers, they will lie and try and get you to use their taxis when it's far cheaper to flag one down or get a tuk tuk. Don't trust them ever. Staff sometimes seemed disinterested and when trying to book onward travel they seemed only interested in solutions from which they would get a financial return, instead of offering unbiased advice/assistance. No window in room. -no hot water late at night. Some staff were very helpful (especially those in the kitchen), although those in reception that were there to help organise tours and day trips, were quite a abrupt and were a real rip off. The hotel is situated on a very dirty street and the breakfast arena was a zero- DIRTY! Didn't go up for breakfast again after what I saw even though it was complementary. Restaurant is quiet expensive compared to other indian restaurants in the same area.. Only 2 towels in the bathroom hang up....in the shower (not confortable) and no place aroung the washbasin for your own belongings... We stayed in the Grand Godwin on 2 separate occasions. The floors in both rooms were dusty and grimy and needed to be washed thoroughly. Also the staff at reception were unable to assist us with printing our boarding passes for our flight home, telling us they had no printer. However, minutes later we received the printed paper copy of our bill!. There was no safe in the room. - If you are on a business travel, then arrange your internet. I got room no 208, and internet was absolutely not working. - do not ask the hotel staff to arrange the cab, arrange by yourself.. would be much cheaper - room are relatively smaller. Breakfast: very poor. I booked for 4 nights and had to leave one night earlier, so i confirm only 3 nights when I check in but they refused to give me ba k the money for my 4th night, so i lose some money there...; ( People managing the booking of car and taxi...they overcharged you the double of the price. Really too much for such services. İnternet. Hotel is near crowded streets thats way there is to noisy for me, and price at start at booking was one, but when I pay it become higher. Hotel staff Location. Personels is not friendly. They are so vain, and dont care customer. they didnt let my friends to come my room. They humiliated my indian friends. I am trevelling 3 year all asia, first time i saw like that hotel staff. I never go that hotel again.
