We had picked up this hotel because of very good recommedations. When we arrived late in the evening, we were rather disappointed, because we didn´t get a room type we had asked for. However, this was the only inconvenience we suffered there, and we were more than generously compensated for that. Ever since we had only a very positive experience, which even made us extend our stay at this hotel considerably. We appreciated the pleasant friendliness and helpfulness of any member of the hotel sta.
all reviews » The cleanliness was to be appriciated as we could see the effort put into looking at details by the staff. The room had a very pleasant aroma when we entered and everything was spic and span. The courtesy of the staff was also something we have not seen many places. The swimming pool was very welcoming, and though its not a large pool, it was well kept and maintained. We only had breakfast and the variety was reasonable, but they graciously offered more variety if we desired, which we did not f. The hotel staff are excellent and very friendly. The hotel is well located and spotlessly clean. Food was good and again staff at breakfast and dinner (on the one night we ate in the hotel) were attentive and kindly pointed out when the happy hour ended so we could order our wine for dinner at half price! Pool area is lovely and again pool staff and the pool bar staff were always on hand to help. This was our first time to Goa and we would certainly return to the Ocean Palms - except this time . Way the best hotel in my recent times .Having travelled all along the world, i felt Ocean Palms is internationally matching and price very much nominal. great things: 1) Hospitality- be it at reception or be it at the resaurant. 2) Food: Great complimentary breakfast buffets.A 5 star buffet. 3)Room: The ambience and design of rooms is truly a resort and 5 star model. 4) Happy hours: 11 am to 11 pm happy hours is fabulous. There was a good breakfast, very clean and tidy site, sunscreen, swimming pool. The hotel room was also the possibility of purity which fuss about petty, but overall was pretty good. Friendly and helpful staff. It was possible to buy a 24-hour wifi, which operated throughout the hotel - very good quality and service. Our stay was for 4 nights and we loved it, all the staff from the front desk to the gardener where very polite and helpfull, the hotel and the rooms where cleaned every day. The beach is just a short 5 min walk, I would say this hotel is one of the best in calangute. I arrived to Goa early morning and although the check in started at 2pm they made all they could to prepare my room at 11am. Also ask for staff member called DK very friendly and nice guy who will manage the motorbike for very good price for you. the hotel is excellent , we booked for standard rooms and were upgraded to suits for no extra charge . the food was amazing and so was the breakfast .. the most reasonable hotel i found and will stay again . The rooms are big and clean, the food is excellent and the location is perfect for access to shopping, restaurants, spas and the beach! the staff are very friendly too!. I had reserved a hotel room through extended sitting room, but the room haven't had a window - it was very uncomfortable. Leaving the hotel room air conditioner automatically turned off, so when coming back in the room , there was very hot as well as the balcony door was slit through which penetrated the heat. Nothing to say...all things are taken carefully by hotel management... There could be more options to select from for breakfast. nothing negative to say . The toilets need modernising. Free wifi only in lobby area, if it could be free in the rooms too then it would be great. Nothing. Need to have more number of VEG dishes. Need to organize a free pick up and drop at the airport/station. In general, everything was Ok, maybe except some problems with shower controller tuning =) Also it would be great to have wider variety of dishes at breakfast. Charge for wi-fi in rooms. a) Air conditioner did not work that well. b) Budget wise it is slightly on the higher side. Front view of this Hotel is not good whatever may be the reasson and no attractive bord /name plate. Entrance road is not good. None. (1) Almost similar breakfast daily, (same variety of breads & Fruits daily) (2) in bathroom : only shampoo . no contioner , no combs. (3) no free wifi in room ( now days maximum hotels give free wifi in room) (4) hotel dont allow to wash our private vehicles.( they charge Rs.100 per time for washing our vehicle). The crossing of the busy road to get to the beach. Wifi facility. there was no bathtub. More snacks required on menu. The stench from the outside drain was unbearable. To add to our owes the behavior of the Ocean Palms reception staff and room service was pathetic. -Could not sleep in the night as very disturbing noises heard from repair work on the top floor. -Staff partiality service. -not good for indians. Dirty smell in toilet always. Air conditioning is not effective, changed two rooms but issue remain same. There was a nauseating smell emanating from our toilet bowl. We feel the water was perhaps a bit dirty.
