The hotel is just amazing: perfect sand beach with clear water and good swimming conditions; staff members make you feel like a dear guest rather then a customer; they do all they can to solve all possible issues. Value for money is just great. As for Malia itself - it is, well, different. It is great in the hotel, very nice at the old town and interesting at the ruins, but the main street with all its clubs, shops, noise and restaurants is really not for everyone. I plan on going back with more friends and family and for at least 1 week or more. The staff and owner are absolutely wonderful. They make you feel like family and friends instantly. Very clean facility. The property is located 150 yards from the beach; and is one of the best beaches on the island. Located near several shops and restaurants. Rentals cars and quads avail down the street. Th. We enjoyed whole staying a lot, we loved the location of the apartments being by the beach, the pool area is great, lively, and with the great atmosphere offering great coffee and drinks, and reasonable food choice. Loula, the maganeress, as mentioned before, is such a dedicated lively, friendly, bubbly person who makes your staying so comfortable and enjoyable.We definitelly recommend Akrogiali, it is great for both families and couples, you will feel so welcome!also, we recommend to stay in t. If you are looking for the Ritz (5 star hotel) this may not the place for you... This place is about friendly down to earth people, tons of fun in the sun, and a fantastic staff and owner!!!. We didn't like the fact that we were charged for using wifi as we expected it to be free as it says on the website and improvement of the signal would be so welcome. Only downside was that the shower didn't have a curtain which made showering quite messy as water got all over the place. We stayed for 3 nights in total and we only got house keeping after the first night. However, it's still acceptable as we weren't messy people anyway!. ...to go back home... (-:. bathroom too small. Could not find fault with this accommodation. the beach is not free for the guests, low wi-fi signal. No aircondition in the room. Whole Malia is little bit too touristic for me, but that is not the fault of this hotel :-). a) WiFi is not free b) there is no soap in the room, we have to ask for it. Bed was quite stiff, we had a mosquito problem that added to our lack of sleep. The poolside bar constantly plays music which might not be to everyone s liking. This is not a young couple romantic couple getaway.
